| Hi, Right there with yuh. I am on 3 weeks and 3 days and have lost zero. I feel like my tummy is a little smaller, but no results on the scales is very depressing. We're about the same weight, but I am only shooting for a 20 pound loss. Gonna stay with it and hope something happens soon. Good Luck |

| Some things to look at: how many servings of cheese are you eating? Does your sausage have any sugar or carby fillers added to it? What about the caesar dressing? Does it have any sugar or non-induction list ingredients in it? Was the salad 2 Cups of lettuce and the zuchinni 1 cup? If not, then you'll want to adjust your veggies as well. HOWEVER, through all of that you are in ketosis!!! AND you lost 8.6% of your total goal on Induction... That is fabulous as the average is 10% I lost 10 lbs on Induction however I have 120 lbs to lose total so it was 8.3% of my total weight to lose... I'd stay stick with it, get back on track right away and keep going. You will continue to see results! Keep us updated!!! Do you use fitday? If you do then you could make it public and post for analysis every once in a while to make sure you are sitll on track... I post my menu every once in a while just to make sure there isn't anything I am not seeing on there.... Good luck!!!

| It is working. You lost weight. It is not that unusual to see a little break after that first loss nothing to worry about. But you're not really working it. Low carb beer is not to be had on induction. You seem to be overdoing cheese and it looks like you did not get enough veggies in. You should try a clean induction by the book and see how that goes. One of the reasons to do it clean is to try to eliminate some cravings. If you are the kind of person who jumps on the scale everyday and then gets horrible discourages if there is no "progress", it is probably time to throw that scale away or at least hide it. Weightloss is not linear. In this journey (and it is a long one) you will see plenty of pauses and maybe even a gain or two. It is how it is supposed to be. Here is a good post you may want to read http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...measuring.html (Why the Scale Lies - The Importance of Measuring) And good luck: you can do it. Sounds like you're suffering from a bit of carb headache today. It will pass. Drink plenty of water and stick to the plan.

| Hi Yvonne, Please don't lose hope! You can't let yourself give up so easily. Do your best to stick to it 100% for a few more weeks to see if Atkins is really right for you. From your descriptions, it sounds like you need to increase your veggie intake. Have a few salads a day. You shouldn't be hungry and having headaches all the time. Also, make sure those sausages are close to carb-free, because if they're not, that means there are hidden sugars ruining your efforts. The tomato sauce too, is a problem, unless you're using a sugar free, carb free brand (but I didn't think one exsisted!) Good luck and keep on trying. It all depends on how much you really want the loss! |

| Another thing that hasn't been mentioned here is that you are exercising now. First of all, that's a WONDERFUL thing and it's great that you started in right at the beginning, because many don't until they don't see the scale start to slow down. The exercise right now, if it's new to you, is going to fool your body a little bit, but it will get over it. It sees something that it's not used to, and it's going to hold on to some of that stored up fat because it thinks it needs it. But, once your system realizes that the exercise is normal, and you're not going to starve it, you'll get a nice whoosh and the lbs will start dropping again soon. Remember, you're now adding muscle, which weighs more than fat when put side by side. Get back on track, skip the low carb beers for now (you may be able to add them back in during owl without any problems), watch all of your ingredients to make sure you're actually eating induction friendly, and I'm sure you'll do fine... heck, you're already doing fine! The 5 lb loss with no more than you really have to lose is pretty good. Don't give up now, you have an entire life to enjoy. Rick |

As others have mentioned, too much cheese, not enough veg, and tomato sauce sound like saboteurs. Beer is one of the most carby alcoholic drinks (even the low carb) and you definitely won't lose while drinking alcohol. Plus it is forbidden on Induction and not allowed till much later in OWL You gave an average menu, but mentioned you had been to two barbecues. Did you eat barbecued meats? with sauce? I have been on Atkins this timne since April 1st. I have only lost 24 pounds, but am exercising like a fiend and have lost many many inches. I really want to see the pounds drop too, but I know I am exchanging fat for muscle and that is a healthy exchange. You are exercising, so initially it may slow your "loss" but in a healthy way. Muscle mass is heavier than equal fat mass, so if loss seems slow, measure. Good luck. Hope you are able to stick with it! |

| Thank you everyone for your responses!! I will read the book thouroughly. I had read it a few years ago and read the induction rules so I thought I was doing fine. The recipe I got off some website was an induction recipe that called for tomato sauce so I guess I will be more careful. I guess I am just not very inventive so when I try to cook the atkins way it's usually disgusting. It's hard to find a menu that works for me and is good. Just eating steak and a salad everyday or chicken and veggies doesn't sound appealing. I may buy the cookbook on sugarfree shiela - she has an induction one as well as the other levels. It's my bday today so since i fell off and i am going to the mountains for the weekend I will stay off but still try to be low carb. I will pick it back up on Sunday though and try to get in more reading on the book. Thanks! |

| I found a tomato sauce which is really a tomato puree with herbs added and no sugar. A lot of times they have sugar added in some form.
