| Hi all, I'm finally back but will be limited with any interaction on the board for a few weeks. I think of everyone everyday, but am strapped with work and craziness. My boss is out for 3 weeks, and the group is floundering w/o her. Any hoot, DH will keep me informed as he always does. We did go off diet while on vacation and gained 1 and lost 1. We are back on the diet schedule and seem to be back to where we were prior vacation. Hey, halloween is Friday! I have a bag of candy on my desk that I absolutely will not touch. It's for the trick or treaters! This vacation taught us just how sick we can get by eating the wrong foods. I have no desire for the candy bag. Kisses & Hugs, Jackie

| I'm baacckk !! wedding was fabulous.. lots of things went wrong but it was prior to the ceremony, which went off without a hitch - happy couple are on thier honeymoon.... i must have ran 5 miles before the wedding and at the reception.. i was doing a bit of this and a bit of that... but it was all worth it 5 days off plan... (pizza and pasta galore) and TOM and today i am 279 so hopefully its mostly TOM and i am officially back on WOE yesterday.. going to start back at rung 1 altho i did have some peanuts last nite.. i even opened a pop tart but didnt eat it... glad everyones trips went well... bill is that a deer / elk you shot yourself in your photo ?? my husband left tuesday nite for deer hunting.. back sunday can hardly type with these claws... my daughter in law and i went last thursday and got acrylic nails.... ive had them before but these are a bit long - makes typing a bit strange well off to the shower to get ready for work .. things are slow and my company laid off 25 yard workers friday ( i work for a large metal recycling company) hasnt hit the office yet but who knows.... have a great week everyone... |

But, You were able to do all that walking!! WTG!! Andie? You still out there? CONGRADS on the new house!! Bet that is a huge load off your mind..only way to go from here is UP! Glad you had such a great time! sometimes a break from the everyday (and Everything!) is just the magic needed to become recharged and refocused! | Bill...My name is Elsie and I am looking for some buddies to interact with. Is this the place for me?? I am currently struggling....do not know why...just haven't been in the zone to follow anything that may benefit myself except for exercising. Still doing that 3 times a week. Am not sleeping well...am getting achy again...and starting to feel overwhelmed...again. SIGH! So why can't I stick to plan?? Love your definition of a buddy. Interaction can be very motivating. Glad to hear you guys had a great trip and are back on plan!! Weigh to go Bazz family!!!

| Happy Halloween all! Just stopping in to say HI before I begin my long trek to work off-site today! I think October has been the hardest month for me!! We did so well while in Niagara Falls. However, because of stress from work, both DH and I fell off Atkins twice! We've gotten back on track over the last 2 weeks, which makes me really happy.

| Happy holloween Bud's ![]() Elsie I noticed "here" Where I am.....everyone seems in the Blaaah's, dragged out and just plain lousy...Don't know what the weather is like where you are? But it SNOWED here Wednesday! Summer "IS" over, kids are in school and frankly: Noone was ready for it. We hope that turning the clocks back will help....... Now lets put this WOE and this WOL way over------------------>HERE Telling "you" about the benifits of the "Future" you, is like telling a Dentist about the future benifits of Fluoride! But, I must say: Right on the other side of this Buddy room: Are some 23000 people who would love to bleed you dry...Ummm..really benefit (As my family and I have!) from your "by the heart" advice and guidence. Your working out!! That's awesome We "kids" (those that reach *cough 40 or so *cough*) need to remember that we will burn thru minerals! (by working out) something like a dry sponge thrown in a bowl of water. The loss of melatonin, Calcium, Magnesium, niacinamide, pantothenic acid, valerian and most of the B vitamins.... Causes aches and pains, Fatigue and Insomnia! (chapter 23 will really help) I take a super multi with minerals to combat this. (because the soil we grow our food in, is barren of these nutrients now) ok let's keep the next part simple! Let's journey back to high school ok!? Before $1000.00 dollar an hour Psychologists! We "brainstormed" things out. Your OVERWHELMED. ok.... simply....WHY? Grab a pencil and a tiny scrap of paper and jot down everything! I mean everything!!! (AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!) The overwhelmed stuff, stuff that Pisses you off, Things you can't control! Goals, Wishes, interfering Buddy's, that dust bunny hiding under the sofa, All of it! Remember Also...jot down the good things, the goals you reached, the good times, the cherished times, Once brained stormed..put them in columns Bad to good..Most important..number them from severe to minor... WOW...there it is...all of it......now we know....WHY! with Clarity comes "wisdom" and with wisdom comes a "game plan"! Your Friend Always

| happy november 1 ! last nite went well bought some carmel candy that i dont like and didnt eat any.. moderate amount of kids 20 or so over 2 hours.. not bad elsie good to see you. sorry you are struggling. listen to guru bazz and you will do well guru - you are da man ! such common sense, such a sense of humor, keep it coming carmella you too.. read the bazz post and fiugre out why.. and then you can tackle the stress/doldrums that cause a stumble -- as for me, taking 4-5 days off for my sons wedding didnt do too much damage.. gained 3-4 lbs.. however back on track and yesterday morning scale said 275 and today it said 273.. so it seems that i am doing ok.. so i will keep on keeping on the plan was to go back to rung 1 (not that i ever really went beyond rung 1) but i think i have been mostly induction this week.. going grocery shopping today so i will stock up on more salad/veggies and maybe start the multi- with mineral as i am going to start some excercise again.. have a great weekend everyone, |

| Alright Bill...I hear you. I am mulling things over. In my brain I (the unmotivated, overwhelmed one) am laying on a couch talking it through with the other me (the one that knows what needs to be done and works towards getting it done) and together we are trying to work it out. Self, says I, We need a plan. Failing to plan is the same as planning to fail. So I guess the first step will be a plan. Baby steps...how do you walk a hundred miles...same as the next person...one step at a time. Tomorrow's plan: Weigh myself. I am backwards from most people...when I stop weighing daily I also seem to stop being on top of my game plan. Drink MINIMUM 8 cups of water...more is better...but 8 is a good baby step and about 7 more than I have been doing lately. Take my supplements. Try to find some time to come up with a menu for Monday. I think these are reasonable babysteps that I can accomplish and reinforce me positively towards another step forward. One step at a time...fake it 'til I make it!! Bill...thanks for reaching out. It does make a huge difference for me. You are a great BUDDY!! Sugar..thanks...means a lot!!! Good luck with the exercising!!! What is your plan? Definitely take your supplements.

| hey everyone remember me......well if not i understand since it's been so long since i've posted. i've been off plan since well mid september, but am ready to get back on track now. my slide began from a 3 day power outage, then came an oktoberfest DH and i attend every year, several birthday parties after that, and amazingly, i only gained 11 lbs back. i had been really starting to feel bad, so i knew i had to get back to it. i kinda started on plan this past week, but faltered when i came home thursday night and there was a bag of candy left over from trick-or-treat. other than that this past week has not been too bad diet wise. i know i should probably do an intense 2 week induction, but at this moment i just can't seem to completely commit to that. eventually i''m sure i'll get to that point, but i know now just getting back to not eating crap is more important. i'm basically just backing up the ladder from where i was when i ultimately crashed and burned. i feel so bad for bailing on you all for so long, but i did pop in here now and again to try to keep up on the buddy list goings on. i know that i'll need your support and i'm back to lend you the same. dh and i need to get back to the gym too. hopefully this week we will start back there too. dh is coming on the wol with me which will make things much easier. hope to hear from you all soon and i hope that you'll pull me back into the fold, if not i'll certainly understand. take care and happy low carbing monie |
