Default Induction Day 2

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to check in. I am down 3 pounds today. I will try not to weigh in so often, I was just really curious. I feel ok, just missing my Pepsi's big time. I am doing my coffee with splenda and cream, trying to stick to one cup a day. My Atkins cookbook arrived so I will be looking forward to creating new dishes and there are tons of resourses here. I have not been able to achieve the ( cup/d water intake, but I will keep trying. I do have one Question? if you can help me out. What do you recommend for salad dressing? Sugar free? I couldn't find any with no carbs or must you account it into your 20g a day of carb? Many I found were 1-5 carbs. My only complaint feeling extra tired???

Thanks everyone hope all is going well for you.
Best Wishes.

Hi SadieMae2, sounds like you are doing great. Down 3 lbs. already, congrats for staying with it. Good for you on the pepsi detox, before you know it you wont even miss them. The tired thing is common for induction. Some even experience sickness, just like a junkie coming down from all the carbs they used to be eating. I was very tired for a little less than a week. After that, i felt energized and ready to take on anything. Check out the recipe section for dressings. Some mix vinegar and olive oil, some make a bluecheese dressing. You do need to account for every carb to be successful.

I just use our Kroger brand of Ranch dressing. Only 1 carb per serving. You just have to watch serving sizes. My sister in law even found a 0 carb ranch dressing once... not sure where that came from. I'll have to ask. And yep, they all count.

Great on giving up the pepsi's! I was never quite able to give it up completely.

Calling it GOAL at this point. I'm happy with where I am now and hope to stay there, or maybe even take it down a little more.

Hi Sadie - sounds like you are doing great already. I'm on day 2 too!

I bought Kens Steak House Caesar, and that has 0 carbs for 1 serving. I also bought their brand of Buttermilk Ranch and that had 1 carb per serving.
