| Well you don't need to eat anything, and that is a realisation you must come to. However, if you can't yet sit there in amazement as all other gorp at the screen while stuffing their faces, then try celery, cucumber, radishes, cauliflower florets - a lovely crunchy box of goodies.

| I went to the movies last weekend. I brought a baggy of celery and two bottles of water. The celery was totally great during the movie.

| Or maybe a couple pieces of jerky and bottled water? Good luck, you can make this. It's just one of many tests that you'll have. |

| Do to the ever increasing cost of popcorn at the movies .. I never by concessions when I go, so I never feel the urge to eat .. but I do like the celery and water suggestion. |

| I agree with Labarum. Are you eating at the movies because you are hungry? Or are you eating at the movies out of habit? If you are eating because you are hungry, I suggest you eat a proper meal before going. I don't know about your local theater, but the only thing that may be Atkins legal are the over-priced hotdog and the $3. 99 bottle of water! So, have a proper meal before you go: a nice piece of chicken or beef, with a salad and/or a veg. If you are eating out of habit, then you might need to re-evaluate that habit. Many of us are fat because we have lousy eating habits: bad day at work---eat an entire pizza to 'relax'; have a fight with the spouse---' eat a bucket of ice cream to 'de-stress', got a promotion at work---have a big blow out at a restaurant to celebrate. Try to develop new, healthier habits while you are losing weight. So when you are at goal, you can continue be remain at goal.

| Hey there. Yep, I agree with eating a good meal before you go. I love going to the movies, but unfortunately I also love movie popcorn! Kit kat's! and sodas!.. but only when I go the movies. Odd, huh? lol Well, I make sure to eat before I go and then I carry along pork skins (which laura mentioned) and either some decaf Splenda sweetened ice tea or acceptable caffeine, aspartame, & carb free diet soda. That way you get to munch right along with everyone else and don't feel excluded or deprived. Have fun at the movies! |

| Try holding hands instead of stuffing them into carby salty popcorn, it can be very refreshing.
