Love2Lose is on a distinguished road
Default Working from home

Hi everyone

I am on my 100th time around since the beginning of the year. My first time in 2005 I lost about 30lbs in 3 months. My second time in 2007 I lost 60lbs in 5 months.

In December of 2007 I quit my job to work from home to be here for the kids etc. etc. I fell off the wagon and I fell so far that I haven't been able to get back on. I have been on and off since jan. I lose a few and gain it back. I feel like being home makes it so much harder to stick to the plan.

My home office is steps from the kitchen and whenever I am bored I run to the kitchen and eat whatever I kind find. I feel so awful. I cant seam to get control over my eating. I am disgusted with what I have done to myself. I try and try but I cant do it. I feel like such a failure. I always look like crap I am always wearing old, baggy clothes with holes in them cause I have nothing that fits.

Being at home all the time really depresses me. I want to go back to work so bad just to get out of the house and socialize with other people but I can't after paying a sitter and gas prices etc. I will end up paying more than I make.

I have to find a solution. Please help me

the best way i've ever found to help myself out when it comes to these types of feelings is to forget self, remember others. that's the major reason i am here on the board so much.

things you could do:
volunteer to visit with a neighbor
make treats for the neighborhood kids
get busy with a project
take up a new hobby
exercise by going for a leisurely walk

I know how you feel. I tried working from home and all I did was sit and eat. I was pregnant at the time and starting a home business so when the baby got here I could stay home. Unfortunatly I lost the baby and things got even worse. Then I was at home without a baby and no reason to start the business. That happened 4th of July weekend that year. By the first of the year I had to go back to work. I couldn't sit at home and think about the baby I lost all day any more At that job i got pregnant again and lost that one too. I gained up to my highest weight of 334. But then I found Atkins and lost 36 pounds in 4 months. But then I got laid off so back at home, and found our two weeks later I was pregnant again. This time we had our baby girl and she was perfect. I stayed home with her for her first 8 months before going back to work. I was going to stay home, take care of the baby, lose more weight etc... Well I took care of the baby anyway. That fall I went back to work with almost all the weight back on. I would go back on Atkins again and well again even though I was half *** doing it. Then came surgery, then another surgery, then I got back to work down to the lowest I had been in years at 293. Then guess what laid off again. Then back to work, then laid off again. Got the job I have now back up in the 320's. Am now after a year at this job back on Atkins. So you can see being at home for me was disastrous to say the least, but it was a lot of other things too. Some days I wake up just grateful to not be insane after all of that.

One of the times I was laid off. LOL I went to church and church functions alot because my daughter an I could go together no baby sitter needed and it was free, and I could talk grown up talk with other ladies. Just a thought if you are Christian. If not well....no offense intended just disregard.
