| We use our forman grill when we can't get out to the grill in the backyard due to inclement weather. We haven't done it, but I suppose you could always pour the grease back over whatever you're cooking. Either that or add some good olive oil or good fatty sauce over it to reclaim some of the fat.

| That's exactly what I do is pour the grease (mainly for steak) back on. I don't think the foreman grill really zaps out the fat anyway, I mean your outdoor grill doesn't... Who knows but I doubt it should be a problem. |

| I use my GF grill all the time. it's not really taking all the fat out of your food, it's just not sitting in it's own grease like if you were cooking in a skillet. if i make a steak on my grill, i usually add a pat of butter to it for some added fat. some olive oil would probably be good too, just haven't tried it for myself.

| There is no need to keep adding fat back to the food. If you are doing the diet properly, you will get plenty of fat from what you are eating. Anyway, the extra fat is really only beneficial in the induction statge to bring on ketosis. Atkins said that using lean cuts of meat are appropriate at all levels of the diet. he wouldn't have said that if he expected us to keep dumping fat back over top of the food. he also said that butter and cream sauces should be occasional treats not a daily part of your eating plan. There is a sticky on the inductionforum which discusses this: How much fat do I need to eat? - Atkins Diet Keep in mind that while fats don't add to the carbs they do add up in calories. I am not advocating a low fat diet, but as written, this diet has plenty on its own. |

| You can add fat to other things if you think you're not getting enough... like veggies. A large knob of butter is lovely... or toss them with garlic, chili and extra virgin olive oil! Yummm!
