Default Tomato Sauce Recipes please ?

Hi Everyone in Atkins-land,

I am living proof of this wonderful diet working..and living proof of falling off the bandwagon back into fatville.
I lost 5 stone (80 lbs ) in a very very short period of time about 3 years ago but I then went a started eating "Normally" which piled on the weight again. I have gained 3 stones back

Still, I am back to being sensible and getting back into the best way of eating I ever found...Atkins.

I have just a few q's to ask : I am trying the ketostix and they show my urine at the third darkest colour, so has anyone who used them found that if you watch the carbs that the colour darkens ? And how often should I test myself with the sticks ?

Last q !! I have a Thunderstick pro mixer and I make my own mayonnaise, but I wanted a recipe for atkins which makes the mayonnaise into a tomato sauce type , or a plain tomato sauce recipe if anyone has one ?

PS: I have tried about 30 Perfect mayonniase recipes, all yuk. So after trial and error this one works PERFECTLY Trust me:

I will name it : Mayognificent

1 Whole EGG...Yes BOTH Yolk and White
200 ML per EGG
A touch of Mustard powder
Salt and Cracked Pepper

Here is a recipe using fresh tomatoes:

10 medium Garden Tomatoes (Approx 2 quarts)
1 medium Onion (2.5-3"), chopped
2-4 cloves Garlic, chopped
1/2 tbl Basil
1/2 tsp Oregano
1-2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
Olive Oil

Process whole tomatoes one or two at a time in boiling water for
about one minute. Remove with slotted spoon and place in cool
water for another minute. Remove skins and cores and place in
a large pot. Add salt and bring to a boil. Boil gently for 5
minutes. At the end of the boiling period there will be quite
a bit of liquid. Remove 3 cups of liquid for use as tomato juice.
In a separate 3 quart sauce pan add enough olive oil to cover the
bottom of the pan and saute onions until translucent. Add garlic
and saute for another minute. Add tomatoes and simmer uncovered
for 45 minutes or until the sauce has thickened. Add the basil
and oregano, salt and pepper and simmer another 15 minutes or until
the sauce has reached the desired consistency.

Yield: 4 cups sauce, 3 cups juice
Carb Count: Entire recipe - approximately 72 grams. 18 grams per cup of sauce. Approximately 5 grams per cup of juice.

Hello,
Sorry about that. Its 200ml of oil. I use vegtable or Sunflower oil myself, but try others if you prefer. Although I would avoid using only olive oil as I tried it once and it was foul!! I think you can mix about 5% olive oil without tasting it too much but don't quote me.
I will try the tomato sauce recipe, thank you. But has anyone else go any alternative recipes ?

Thank you
