| But be aware that to some of us, sugar alcohols ARE digested and so we should count them all! My own rule of thumb is that if I don't get the 'bathroom effect' from them I shall count all those pesky SA carbs and only if they do visibly 'pass through me' should I deduct them. Can you not make your own lowcarb 'treat' instead if you feel you will be tempted? There are many good recipes in the Food & Recipes forums as well as elsewhere on the board. I make flourless/sugarless cakes and desserts often for my husband who has a really sweet tooth, so it is not too hard to do. I have taken them along to family celebrations and other family members who are not lowcarbing seem to like them too.

| If you want cake you can order low carb cake mix here Dixie Diners Club Carb Counters Cake Mixes I am planning on ordering the Snackn cake mix- choc cake with frosting (only 2 net carbs per piece!). I am going to make it and then cut it up and freeze the pieces individually so when holidays or birthdays come up i am ready. They also have brownie mixes too.
