| I dont know what tzatiki is so i cant help you there. Usually you would always count each ounce of cheese as 1 carb. Since you have only 10-12 lbs to lose I dont think the shakes are really bad. I would watch out though because they stall alot of people (including me). Otherwise you seem to be doing great. And yes all you do is count carbs.

| If it has only been a couple of days you may not be in ketosis yet, but should be soon. Takes 2-3 days for the excess carbs to clear and 'change over' all the way. Iceberg lettuce has hardly any nutritional value, 'splurge' and get some romaine or leaf lettuce please! This is about our health as much as our waistlines. Yes! It will work. I have lost 6 inches in my waistline since July 19. JUST my waistline. 4 in my hips, etc. Hot wings are wonderfully low carb, but awfully salty. I had a few wings each day for a week and that week I lost nothing. Salt affects different people differently, so ymmv, (your mileage may vary.) Reading the book will help you understand the processes and WHY it works. It truly is revolutionary.

| Tzatziki is a greek yogurt - pretty whole and natural, with garlic and cucumber. Its goooood. Um...I have a terrible headache and I have been drinking water non-stop. I am so worried that this isn't going to work and I'm going to get fatter with all the food I am eating! |

| For induction, yogurt is not on the allowed list, so needs to be left till you get to the dairy rung of OWL. The one I buy has about 5 carbs per cup. I looked up Tzatziki and according to several sources it has about 8 carbs per 100 grams (about 1/2 cup) as it contains Greek Yoghurt, cucumber, garlic and herbs! (This is info for the Fage Total brand of tzatziki) As for the Atkins bars - check the ingredients to make sure you are not eating nuts/milk/soy/wheat products! As far as I know all the bars contain at least one of those not-induction-allowed ingredients so they are better left till you reach the relevant OWL rung that does allow them.

Yogurt is not allowed during Induction. How much cheese are you eating? Cheese is limited to 3-4 ounces daily. The allowed Induction vegetables should comprise the majority of your daily carbs. If you are eating 12-13 carbs of the bars, then you definitely aren't eating the proper amount of vegetables.

| Meg's/Elizellen .....on the tzatziki, it's actually a yogurt based dip (similar to yocheese, the whey is strained out overnight) not a food you would eat like a yogurt. I actually ate it on induction myself...i considered it a dip not a yogurt? Normally your only eating a tbsn or two like you would ranch etc. The one that I buy has 2g's of carbs in 2 tbsns. Would that still be considered 'eating yogurt?' ![]()

| Sadie, the Rules of Induction say "no dairy products other than cheese, cream and butter." Yocheese or yogurt cheese is yogurt with the whey strained out, as you said. So it's still yogurt, and not really a cheese like Brie or Cheddar. I would be careful of it, none the less. Dairy products are a "your milage may vary" thing---especially the non-Induction dairy products like yogurt, milk, and fresh cheeses.
