| I think it differs for each of us. I know I tend to gain all the water weight the week after, but I've heard of several people who gain the week before, but then also gain during, and sometimes they have a stall during all three different times every couple of months or so. Not to scare ya.. just putting in my 2 cents |

| i'm having the same issue, i started my induction alittle over 2 weeks ago, i lost 8 pounds in my first week, then i just stopped losing any weight, instead i gained 2 pounds. then i got my period. during that time, i havent been able to lose anything, and i managed not to gain anything. but now thats its been over for 3 or 4 days. i still havent lost anything, and i got out of ketosis even though i havent cheated once. im annoyed. is it true eating lots of meat stalls??

| I eat alot of meat and I don't think it does me. Maybe u could up the fat intake a little and see if that helps. I'm annoyed to because u hear of people that seem to have lost every week especially at the beginnin and I have been on this for only 5 weeks tomorrow I lost some earlier in the summer but since my 5 weeks I have lost 19 pounds and that is very good but I DON'T like going over a week without losing anything! I am in keotosis but don't know what the deal is....... Maybe I'll get a big whoosh I'm hoping anyway....... And again I saw ur post somewhere else and u look amamzing! I hope I am half as thin as you someday.... |

| Don't fret, my pet. Weight gain 2-8 days prior to menstruation is normal. During that time your levels of progesterone, calcium, and magnesium are dropping and that tells the body to retain some water. If you're eating salty food around the same time that will decrease your potassium and cause you to retain even more water. Good ol' hormones stickin it to us ladies again! I've heard that asparagus helps some people with the water weight but I don't know from first hand experience.

| While on this subject, what about the use of Pamprin, which contains a diuretic (ingredients:acetaminophen, pamabrom, pyrilamine maleate) My daughter, who is doing Atkins also likes to take during 'that time.' Would using it be bad, good or indifferent?

| As long as it's being used for relief of premenstrual symptoms and not abused it should be just fine. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
