| well as you move up the rungs you get into fruit ... if you are in induction i would say no sugar... at all .. and most of your carbs should come from veggies... |

| Ive been on Atkins for 1 year and half and like to pretend I am on the whole grains rung even though it's been more like maintenance for me. It's just a hypothetical question, just wondering what you guys think is worse.

| I'm in maintenance, and I think the benefits of having fruits in your diet outweighs the carb counts of them. There's far more to fruit than just the carbs in them. I eat at least 1 apple every day...as well as plums, melons, banana's etc. if i had a choice between something like a very low carb sweet snack such as a 1 min flax muffin etc, or an apple, i'd honestly pick the apple. as you can tell, i love apples lol.
