| I did the BK whopper without the bun. They serve it in a tray so I wasn't even tempted by the bun. I left off the cheese (probably not realy anyway). The quad stacker is my daughter's (19yo) favorite thing at BK. And of course the baconator at Wendy's is great! To me Hardees has great burgers. LOTS of meat on them and a great taste too. Enjoy!

| I usually do any grilled chicken sandwich with no bun or a hamburger from Wendy's or BK with no bun. And a side salad with ranch if the restaurant's version is low carb. If not, I put my own on.

| When i have fast food i usually just go to mcdonalds and get either a double cheeseburger and scrape off most of the cheese and toss the bun or i get a big and tasty no cheese and toss the bun. Sometimes i go to hardees and get the lo carb burger with no cheese no ketchup and add bacon.

| My Fav... Wendy's Jr. Bacon Cheese Burger, hold the tomato and Bun, they put it in a nice tray for you. Also, their Ceasar Side Salad, has low carb dressing.

| Depending on where i am, one supermarket in particular does rotisseried chicken. It can be bought whole, they also do portion's. Sausages, stuffed pork belly and spare rib's can also be had. Reasonably priced aswell. I'll go for some of that if the rest of the family fancy a McD's or BK. I'm feeling a bit peckish now!...........right, where did i leave my car key's

It helps that I am in the middle of writing a low carb/whole foods cookbook and I have to cook every day to test recipes. I've never eaten so well. Almost all restaurant food has hidden carbs. The house sirloin, grilled veggies and roasted asparagus from Applebee's all have sugar, even the steak. That was my last meal at a restaurant. I went from over-full to wanting to eat everything in the house in 30 minutes. I have learned to be ready for any time I will have to be away from the house and have easy foods to stick in a small cooler to go. If all else fails, I keep a bag of pork rinds and a small package of nuts in my trunk. Sunny!

| I agree with Sunny. (and how lucky that you live in an area like that. We have Farmers market from the end of June until September and that's it When I did fast food before Atkins I always used the bun and the sauces to hide the taste of the meat. I can't even imagine what that beef tastes like dry

| Hardee's makes the best fast food burger (100% Angus sirloin) without a doubt, but you'll pay for the quality! If I'm short on cash, I favor the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger (plain) from Jack in the Box. They give you a pretty good chunk of meat for around $3.50. The bacon may seem like a rip-off for an extra $.50, but it helps minimize the amount of cheese that sticks the underside of the bun -- I love my cheese! Of course, I will agree with those above that say that fast food can be a bad deal. If the sugar isn't a problem, then the sodium content usually is! I try to rely on fast food no more than once every couple of weeks.
