| A whooshie is just the sudden loss of weight. Typically it's water weight. And most "whooshie" foods like the "whooshie pie" recipe, contain foods/condiments that are supposedly diuretic, so when you eat it---whoosh, went the water weight.

| I can testify to the water weight issue. Last week I made the mistake of drinking caffeinated coffee in the evening (I've not had caffeine in over 3 years and caffeine has always had a diuretic effect on me.) The next morning, following a night of more than 15 trips to the bathroom with a *full* bladder each time, I was down 4.5 pounds! |

| Boy, I would love a good whoosy .... slow and steady seems to be my mantra, though. Hopefully, by the time I weigh myself again (Oct. 31!) it will be a pleasant surprise.
