I buy the pre-washed organic baby lettuce mixes from Trader Joe's here in L.A. They have a better nutritional profile and I hate washing salad greens. A 142 gram (5 oz) bag is enough for meal-sized helpings of greens for my BF and I, and it costs $1.89. Bargain, in my book. Oh, and in a 76 gram serving, it's only like 1 effective crab, 'cause the fiber is pretty good with those darker, leafier greens. ![]()

I've never shopped at Trader Joes, but I've heard great things about them. I was told (along time ago) that they sell (or sold) no carb chocolate or something like that, lol. Anyhow, I think I'm going to hit up a Trader Joe's next week or so (when ever I run out of greens). Thanks Bastet!

I use the "spring mixes" and baby lettuces, both of which have way more nutritionally that iceberg.

In 1.1 ounces of fresh raw spinach there are 1.1 total carbs and .4 net carbs. Now 1.1 ounces isn't much at all, plus you get all the vitamins =)
