I've been doing an exercise program called P90X for about 60 days. It's a 90 day program. I've only been doing this WOE for about 2 weeks. When I started P90X I weighed 330 and this morning I weighed 306.5. When I started Atkins a couple of weeks ago I was at 312.

Exercise is non-negotiable says Atkins. So we should all exercise. It is part of getting healthier and improving metabolism.

If you aren't exercising, you're not doing Atkins

That said, yep. I exercise. A lot. It might have something to do with teaching Jazzercise classes though. LOL

I workout 5-6 days a week. I do a combination of aerobic and strength training and when I'm not doing Jazzercise I'm utilizing whatever strikes my fancy for the day in my exercise video library. I've done a bit of everything from swimming to running to classes to cardio equipment, but I always come back to Jazzercise and a few specific video series (Slim In Six, Slim Series, Power 90, Turbo Jam, Project You).

If you'd like to see my stats and progress through my weight removal, you can see it in the link in my signature (My Melting Page).

Hey Brook...I think you meant to write "If you aren't exercising, you aren't doing Atkins"

Anyhow, you nave to exercise according to Dr. Atkins.

Melimeli, I've noticed you have plenty of questions. Have you read the book? You really need to because there are ALOT of lies and misinformation about Atkins. Believe me, I've read some doozies over the years. So do yourself a favor and read the book so you can do Atkins properly and safely.

yea I know it says to exercise and I do... at 24 hour fitness 5 to6 days a week... 60 min eliptical and 20 min weights.. but I just wanted to see the success of others that are doing both to give me more motivation to start...

I havenīt read the book (sadly enough I donīt have the money to buy one husband got laid off and I am on maternity leave) but I started in 2002 with sommersize and I have read the atkins web site. I lost 100 lbs in 2002 with low carb but after the baby I need to loose more now...

You can probably get a copy of DANDR on loan from your library or pick it up cheaply at a charity shop (thrift shop?)
I often see copies here for well under a pound in our local charity shops.

I have always been active, but I just recently started doing regular, intentional exercise when I started induction about two and a half weeks ago. I do a series of DVDS called "The Firm". There's alot to choose from so I never get bored. It combines aerobics and resistance training. I do 5-6 times a week and so far, I have lost almost 10 pounds. Depending on the video, I exercise anywhere from 30 minutes at the very least up to 1 hour 5-6 days a week.
