| Do you have the book? If so you should read chapter 15 about plateaus. It covers several topics as to what could be causing your stall in weight loss. There is a part in there about yeast and how cutting out certain things can cause you to start losing again. Also Chapter 20 might offer you some answers about metabolic resistance and what to do. I'm jumping back into this WOE myself, I'm reading the book again to refresh my memory about certain things. Don't go off the plan by eating bread or whatever...that is just going to mess you up even more and you will have to start all over again making it even harder (speaking from experience ). Stick to what you are doing and try to find out what the problem is. Good luck to you! |

| i think your absolutly right Jdbeckers. i think i need to read the book, and i will make sure to read those specific chapters u mentioned. i dont think i will be going off the plan, even though i might think about it often. i realized i have a greater will power than i initially thought. last night i had a whole bunch of friends over, and ofcourse i served them all those sugary and carby goodies--> chocolate cake, with strawbery and chcocolate waffers, and tortila chips with pretszels and spinich dip, and ofcourse some alcochol. coke, juices....but i didnt eat or drink any of those things what so ever, even while i was cutting up the cake, frosting got on my finger tips, which i was really tempted to lick, but i washed it alllll off instead

| I was wondering how tall you are? Your start weight was 133 and your current weight is 125 with the 2 lb fluctuation that you talked of. Is your goal weight realistic? How did you come up with this number? If you are at the weight that your body is meant to be at (and 125 is great!) your body will fight you on additional weight loss. I would really hate to see you struggling to lose more weight when it may not be the right choice for you. I am a nurse and I have seen a lot of girls get very frustrated with not being able to lose anymore weight to find out when they come to the doctor that they are in a range they are supposed to be accodrding to weight and body type. |

| well im 5'4", i dont know if the goal i set for my self is realistic or not, but i would like ot be under 120 lbs and still be healthy. i mentioned in previous posts that i would like to lose as much weight as possible b4 i get pregnant, just so that i can gain weight and not feel terrible about while while pregnancy. the thing is i've been down to 122 at the most, but i wasnt on the atkins when i reached this low, so this is why im wondering why i cant reach that again. and i think i need to exersize and start tonning my body, that should help right?
