Default If I could eat whatever I wanted...

I would have..

1. A bowl of cereal with icy cold milk, maybe some fruit loops or honey bunches of oats!

2. A graham cracker with cinnammon, and dunk it into a glass of icy cold milk!

3.Some Cheetos and a diet soda!

4. A thin crust slice of pizza with tons of veggies!

5. Chocolate!

6. A sugar free vanilla latte from Starbucks!

7. A subway sandwich, with the bread and a bag of baked lays!

8. Ranch style beans with melted cheese on top!

9. A pancake with syrup!

These are the foods that I have seen or thought of, and have wanted badly- but have resisted the temptation because of my progress on the diet. Yesterday, I actually wore a pair of jeans I hadn't worn since before I had my first baby about 2 years ago.

I like the feeling, and so I'll continue to only day dream about eating these foods that I miss so much.

thank-you very not much for making a #@!&*%$$#! LIST of things I avoid thinking of. I must say though, that your list is conservative. Thin crust pizza, and one slice at that, ONE pancake, ONE bowl of cereal. Congrats. Even if you went off-plan, I think you would maintain.

Allow me to add **a grilled cheese sandwich** to the list.

Most the time i don't miss these things, but the past couple days I've been cravey. As it's cooling off, i think I associate snuggly indoorsy sweatery times with certain carby comfort foods. Holidays are gonna be a *itch.

I'm not too much of a chips & ice cream girl, but if I could eat whatever I wanted I would go for...

1. Cheesecake (I can make an Atkins-legal one)
2. Strawberries with whipped cream (~3 weeks left until I can have some)
3. Yoghurt with blueberries (~3 weeks left)

Many of the foods you listed are quite possible to eat during ON-Going Weight Loss Phase and Pre-Maintenance Phase---and during Maintenance Phase.

So if you haven't moved to OWL Phase, you might want to consider it to expand your food choices while you continue to lose weight.

You can make cereals using pork rinds and splenda (it's not as weird as it sounds). And once you're on rung 2 you can have milk.

Same for the milk. The flax crackers with cinnamon are delicious... crunchy and fatty enough to keep cravings away.

Quote:
3.Some Cheetos and a diet soda!
You can have soda sweetened with splenda. Cheetos? I don't know what those are, sorry.

Quote:
4. A thin crust slice of pizza with tons of veggies!
I did an awesome pizza this summer using flax for the crust and mushrooms, pepper, chicken breast, cheese and tomato for topping. It was yummy!

Quote:
5. Chocolate!
You can make your own using cocoa and liquid stevia or splenda.

Quote:
6. A sugar free vanilla latte from Starbucks!
You can make your own once you get to rung 2. Does it really have to be Starbucks?

Quote:
7. A subway sandwich, with the bread and a bag of baked lays!
I have no idea what lays are... But you can make great sandwiches or wraps using flax. I take wraps with me every time I travel.

Quote:
8. Ranch style beans with melted cheese on top!
This has to wait for a bit... But you'll be able to have it in the end.

Quote:
9. A pancake with syrup!
Ever tried flax or/and cream cheese pancakes? Topped with SF syrup and berries.... Great dessert!

Who said you can only dream about eating them?

Bon appetit!

OK, that's funny! Megs and I posted similar things... I guess it's the Atkins groove.

For the grilled cheese one - mix some ground flaxseed with water to a paste, spread it onto a paper plate and microwave until it's cooked, it'll basically function like a piece of bread, you can melt the cheese on it and pick it up to eat as a sandwich. It involves a little experimenting with cooking times, but is a really great substitute.

I have some suggestions too

Quote:
3.Some Cheetos and a diet soda!
How about some microwave melted cheddar.
Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes
It is really yammy and some carbonated water with a wedge of lemon. I just love it

Quote:
4 A thin crust slice of pizza with tons of veggies!
Have you tried Cleocathra's cauliflower pizza. It is really good. And you will not miss anything eating it. Promise

Quote:
9. A pancake with syrup!
How about an oopsie roll with some Davinci syrup? You can have it.

Quote:
5. Chocolate!
Once you are in the nut rung you can have some - just not with sugar. I sometimes make chocolate bark (cocoa, splenda, cocunut oil (melted) - mix and freeze for 5 minutes)
