Default Re: Seasoning Steak.

I like to use garlic and I have found a wonderful spice I use on almost everything.. it's called.. Montreal Steak Spice/Seasoning, but I prefer the Mesquite vs the regular one. You just have to read the ingredients, and make sure it doesn't have any no no's in it.

I hope if you try it.. you like it

Happy eating..

I use garlic and onion powder and occasionally the Montreal Steak Spice that Sassy mentioned. I also like to rub some liquid hickory smoke on my steaks before grilling them.

I use the montreal steak seasoning on a lot of things, it's yummy. I also use cajun seasoning (Emeril's Bayou Blast - even tho I dislike him) with chili and/or paprika...

Default Re: Seasoning Steak.

I love to use a wee bit of worchestor and a dash of montreal steak seasonings. The worchestor has 1 carb/TBSP but I like to think most of it burns off. let the steak marinate in the sauce/spices for 1/2-45 minutes on the counter.

Default Re: Seasoning Steak.

To season it, let it stay out to pasture for at least 4 months.
Knock off Hooves, Horn, etc.
Fire up the grill.
Baste with salt & peppered garlic butter, optionally with a few drops smoke extract mixed in.... sear until quits moo-ing!
