| According to the insurance nurse that came this morning my scales are off by 8 lbs too light. BUT I don't know if I can trust hers any more than my own because hers appear to be about as cheap and they are banged around in her backpack with all the other stuff she hauls from house to house. So I am going this weekend to Target and stepping on about 3 different kinds of scales to see if mine are really that off. We put our hand weights on them and set them to that exact weight ( 6 lbs of weight/hand weights, then set the scale to 6 lb, then when we remove the weights it shows our scales to be 2 lbs off. So we just leave it set at 2 lbs over 0. We thought that was about as accurate as we could get it. So what do you guys think? Thanks for the input!

| My doctors scales are terrible! Way out! Luckily, they weigh seven pounds light though LOL! It sounds like yours are probably accurate if you have set them with your hand weights. In any case, if you have used them each time then you should get accurate pound lost results as they would weigh inaccurately the same each time if you know what I mean. Maybe treat yourself to a new digital one? Zx |

| Yeah, I figured at least I know I am right about how much I've lost (48 lbs) total, but I want to be sure about "how" much I weigh. I have heard that the digital scales aren't that reliable. I'd love to get some with BIG numbers though as I have to wear my glasses to see the dang numbers now! LOL

| My scales (Tanita) have been excellent. I have had them for over five years and they still weigh accurately. I have checked my weight on my parents digital scales and the ones at the gym and they weigh the same. They have big numbers too LOL! |
