| Hey Allison, Welcome! I'm so sorry you're in the state you're in. I've been there. Don't give up!! I'm not an "egg" person either... I only like eggs with toast. That said, here's what works for me. I pack my breakfast/lunch every day now (just finished induction and today started a second round of induction). It always includes two different types of meat (El Pollo Loco grilled chicken w/skin is great at any temp.), laughing cow cheese, green olives and sliced jicama. Or alfalfa sprouts with Marie Calendar's Blue Cheese dressing (2 TBS). I made a version of beef stew. Really easy. Brown some cubed stew meat (also called chuck) then after it's all nice and brown (and sometimes crispy!) throw it all into a deep casserole with water and beef bouillion to just cover. Bake at 350 for 90 minutes. This baking makes the meat really tender. I take this a few times a week as my break/lunch. That said, I graze all morning long, and I don't get hungry! I use stevia (one or two drops) in my water, and drink 80oz a day. Stay strong! You're also probably heading into the "Atkins flu" time, and you'll feel exhausted, sick, headachey, etc. That's your body making the shift to ketosis. Hang in there! We're all here for you. Shelley

| This is a support board and you are encouraged to “get it all out” when you have your moments. Trust me, there is someone, somewhere reading and nodding like’ I feel like that too!” I would like to first give you a big ole’ virtual hug and say how proud of you I am for giving Atkins a shot in the first place. You have taken a step to eat better, and hopefully exercise more and I know first hand how hard THAT is. Next, I want to tell you, stop thinking and worrying so much. Try to relax and go with it. Atkins goes again the grain of everything society has deemed as unhealthy but in the end it does work. If you need encouragement, please take a gander at all of the wonderful testimonies in the before and after pics thread! There’s some serious reality there and it’s everyday people, eating good stuff and shrinking-just like you will do! There is nothing that says you have to eat eggs every morning; hunni I eat salads some days I even have a burger. Get creative with your foods. Have dinner for breakfast sometimes, it’s lots of fun! If you’re having a tough time with a clean induction, I would not recommend staying on it past the 2 weeks because that’s grounds for “cheats” and the yo-yo effect. Move up the rungs slowly and you should be fine. Have you read the book> If you have, and if you’re reading your labels, exercising, and drinking plain water, you’re doing great. 3-4 days is the threshold for the great feeling days and the “whoosh” of weight loss so keep on chugging along with Atkins. You Can Do IT!!!!!!!!!

| Y'know what? I hate eggs! They're just slimy and nasty and gross. Who says you have to eat breakfast food for breakfast? Why not just eat whatever you want that's legal on induction and you like? It does take time to relearn old habits, but keep plugging away, you'll get there - and you don't have to do Induction perfectly from day 1 to have it work (I wasn't perfect either). As for the expense - track the cost of good food vs. junk food and you tell me how much more expensive it really is (not counting the reduction in cost over time of the damage to your health). |

| Oh trust me. I have been there. Sometimes it takes all I have to not give in during those hard times. The one thing that keeps me on track is knowing that once I go down "that" road, I will have to start all over again and that is not appealing at all. Keep the faith and stay strong. You can pull through this and you will be glad you did when you get over the beginning hump. Feel free to vent anytime. We are all etheir there or have been there.

| watch out on the sweets.. cheesecake and such as they are leagally of if you stay withing the sevings size for your carbs.. eating them will not help your cravings go away... It is so so hard but if you can do 3 to 4 days without sweets your cravings for them will go away! don¨t eat eggs... Many times I eat somethig else.. I like cooked hamburger then I put it into olvie oil and add parmasean cheese and grated zuchinni.. it is yummy... Good luck and stay strong.. as for the money.. heck how much would you pay to be skinny.. if someone told me give me 5000 bucks and I will make you be skinny I would find a way to get the money... good luck girl
