Default What does YOUR low carb bread have?

I was just able to find the Nature's own low carb bread.
It has 9 carbs 2 fiber=7 net carbs. Per slice.

I would love to find something lower. If you know of any please let me know.

Thanks guys,

I've been eating Body Resource Roggenbrot, I got it as a bread-mix from www.keto-shop.de (in Germany). It has 5.9g of carbs per 100g, which works out at about 2g of carbs per slice.

The bread is not bad tasting, but nothing like normal bread. It is dark, airy and with some seeds. It is extremely elastic. After baking it is somewhat crusty, but after a day it becomes less crusty, despite this it lasts well for a few days.

I don't know about a loaf of bread, but there is some white/wheat tortillas made by MISSION. They are 4g of crbs per tortilla. Taste great!

Be careful with those "low carb" grain products. Many OWLers have found that grains interfere with their weight loss---which is why it's a good thing Grains aren't added until Rung 9. Also carefully read the labels for the ingredients. Some "low carb" breads contain things like high fructose corn syrup or sugar. So they might be "low carb" but they aren't Atkins friendly.

I like Oroweat's 100% Whole Wheat Light bread that has 11 net carbs for 2 slices (about 5.5 carbs a slice). Granted, the portion is smaller than some breads, but it is probably better to control portion as well. I enjoy it occasionally but I'm not a huge bread person. Sweets are my demise.

Supposedly Oroweat has a Double Fiber bread with only 3 net carbs a slice but I have not seen it in stores.

I just recently made flax bread after finding the recipe online. I have only had one slice of it so far but it's tolerable to use as something to put minced chicken mixed with mayo on.

It is approximately .8 carbs per slice.

If you want the recipe, I found it here:
Flax Bread Recipe - Low-Carb Focaccia-Style Flax Bread

Alas there is no low-carb bread available here, or tortillas.

In a way that is a good thing, Neecy It means you won't be tempted to eat them before you are at the 'correct' OWL rung for all the ingredients

In Canada labelling laws restrict companies from labelling foods as 'low carb' but this does not mean there aren't any, you have to know how to read your labels. Orowheat Fibre Counting bread has 6g's per slice if you can find it (they also have wraps, or used to). My favourite is Stonemill Bakehouse 3grain Sprouted Grains bread, it's all natural ingredients, all whole grain and has 17g's per 2 slices. At the Walmart here, they sell a 'Pan Flax Bread' that is 10g's per slice (big slices) and is made with whole grain flour. When you are at OWL, pre maintenance, and maintenance, you will have more choices than you think if you can tolerate grains.

Dreamfields Pasta, Shirataki Noodles, Atkins Canada & other Low Carb Products :: The Low Carb Grocery Store Center is located in Toronto will also ship anywhere in Canada.

I use Nature's Own as well but the Double fiber (If you can find it). Total net carbs is 5 per slice. I dont' eat it often and when I do its ually just one slice like with my eggs. I keep it in the freezer so it lasts longer.
