| Well, I'd eat them until I felt full, which probably means that I'd end up eating 6-8 of them, not 20! I can't imagine eating 20 chicken wings - are they really small or something? I'd bust a gut - as soon as I got a few days into Induction my appetite went way down and I just haven't been able to eat like that in months. Also - are you sure there's no carbs in there? What did you coat them in (if anything)? I'd be positive before I start scarfin' them down. As for calories - it's not your primary concern, it's carbs and the mix of calories (65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs). How's that ratio for you today? |

| I agree with the above... I would be full after maybe 6. My favorite are the Tequila-Lime chicken wings by Tyson. 2 carbs for four wings Tyson Foods: Product Center: Tequila Lime Flavored Wings (4lb) |

| As a guy, I eat'em like popcorn. (well, like I used to eat popcorn...) 20 isn't out of the realm for me and I'm losing like crazy. Of course I'm fatter than crazy too, but the weight is falling off of me. I don't feel bad about about wings, and I make my own wing sauce to control the carbs.

| it's on page 18 of my copy of DANDR where he talks about calories. " But excess calories certainly cause you to pile on the pounds- and this is a gigantic "but"- only when you are eating a lot of carbohydrate along with fat."

| That's why I asked about "are you sure no carbs" question - depending on how he cooked 'em, could be a recipe for poundage. |

| LOL, if I didn't know my DH doesn't do message boards, and you look nothing like him, I'd swear it was him (he has a culinary degree and the same name as you!). |

| Must be a great person!!! Ask him about a a bread free turduckenig (I have another thread started about turducken). I figure I'd put saugage stuffing in it. And if possible, figure out a way to get some beef in it...

| My chicken wings are the kinds that are already cut into 3 pieces. I can usually eat 10 of those pieces in a sitting. My DH could eat more than that except, well, the pan only holds about 20 wings. We're both losing. And then, to top it off, I usually sprinkle mine with red pepper and then, about halfway through cooking, dump a quarter of a cup or so of melted butter over the top and crank up the heat to crisp them up a bit. According to fitday, a "drummette" part of a chicken wing is 55 calories. So, if I ate 10 of those it would be about 550 calories plus butter. According to conventional diet wisdom, this shouldn't work. Lots of fat, more calories than your typical low fat diet, and still lose weight? Seems too good to be true.
