| Have you maybe started lifting weights at all. That will build muscle mass and muscle is heavier than fat. BUT don't stop if you have been. Muscle will also burn more calories! Your body is readjusting more than likely to all the changes. Are your clothes fitting better? Are you measuring your inches? I'm sure if you stick with it you will like the results. I was a little disappointed in my 3rd or 4th week. But I stuck it out and I'm so glad I did. You might want to use FitDay.com if you don't already. It is easy to use and you might find something you didn't realize before that could be stalling you. Good luck! Don't give up!

| Thanks for the encouragement Donna, I'm not going to give up, I'm just incredibly frustrated. I'm not doing anything differently than my normal exercise routine and my clothes are just a bit more loose, nothing noticeable. Perhaps I'll give up what little cheese I'm eating and see if that helps. |

| you might want to read at thread in the Memorable Thread Forum called something to the effect of "PISS"---Post Induction Stall Syndrome. Basically, for some people, they don't lose weight or inches during Weeks 3-6 of this Diet. Dr. ATkins explained it on the Atkins Videos as your body adjusting to the changes its made. Also, start measuring yourself. Dr. Atkins wrote the loss of inches is more representative of the loss of fat than losing pounds (scale). So make friends with your tape measure.

| If you are eating salty foods such as bacon, hot dogs and a lot of cheese, you may be retaining water. Also that time of month makes you retain as well. You might start losing again if you move up to rung 1 because it worked for me although I can't explain it. The extra veggies help somehow so make sure you are eating plenty. |
