Default i figured it out..but i still have another problem!

ok now most of you know by now, that for the longest time (2.5 months) and up until now i've been frustrated with my weight loss.
for those of you who dont know...i've been on atkins for 2.5 months, and i only lost 3 pounds in total, even though i've never cheated once.
anyways...i know how i can lose weight, but i just dont know if i can, and i was wondering if anyone else is having my problem and if they know the solution for it.
first and for most...I LOVE TO EAT, even when im not hungry, and thats a habbit i cant get rid of. luckly atkins isnt about calorie counting, so i just eat whenever, as long as its legal.
now my problem is that i eat sometimes right before i go to bed or around 8 or 8:30 pm, and i know thats late, regardless of what am eating.
anyone has any ideas of how i can comepelty stop eating by 6 oclock??
coz even when i eat a big meal by then, i still manage to snack late. i just cant help it

What Phase are you in? Are you still in Induction or have you moved to OWL Phase?

About the snacking....are you eating the snacks because you are hungry or are you eating them for the sake of eating something?

If you are hungry, you can eat a snack between meals, but make sure you are truly hungry and not thirsty. Sometimes we mistake hunger for thirst. So if you have eaten a meal and a couple hours later you are hungry, drink a glass of water, wait about 30 minutes and see if you are still hungry. If you aren't, then it was probably thirst. If you are still hungry, eat.

If you are eating them for the sake of eating something, that is a very bad habit and you need to change it. As I wrote in another thread, bad eating and lifestyle habits are the reason why we are fat and need to go on a weight loss diet in the first place. To change that habit, you need to substitute the eating with something else, like taking a walk or talking to a friend or anything other than eating. Re-train your brain.

I have posted to you in various other threads, including the fact that your goal weight is, according to BMI charts, an "Underweight" goal, and that you are not eating enough fat in your diet in order to be following Atkins. I have also responded for you to try OWL to see if this helps.

I try to not eat after 9p, and if I do, it's pure fat... 6p is a little drastic... but that's just my opinion, partially probably since I don't even get home until 6 if I'm working.

Calories do count and if you are overeating you won't lose any weight. I count calores and carbs because I'm short and this high fat diet can be fattening if you're not watching how much you're eating. I would suggest you count calories for a few days to see if that's part of the problem. Good luck!

Yes. it depends on when you go to bed. I'm usually in bed by 8:30 so my last meal is usually between 5 and 6.

ladies thank you for your responses, i appreciate it.
Lyssie, i understand that my goal BMI is alittle low, but i know a few more girls who have way lower BMI than me. in my mind i need to be a certain size in order for me to get pregnant, meanwhile staying healthy and well nutrioned, and thats what im trying to do. and i promise u that i eat enough fat. i pour olive oil on all my veggies, and on my salads i use olive oil and mayo for dressing. i fry my meats when i can, and i make sure i have enough fat in all my meals. now about the rungs...as far as i know, im on the second rung, which means more veggies for me, which i love. im not interested so much in the dairy rung or the alcohol rung since i dont drink. i do eat a few alsmonds every now and then, but i feel that they trigger my cravings, so i try to stay away from them. i would love to have incorperate whole grains, but thats not till the 9th rung, and i dont think im ready for that one just yet. i drink alot of water incase u guys were wondering, and i exercise daily.
would any of you be interested to know what my menu is like? just incase i have hidden carbs here or there?

I'm going to agree with Lyssie and I too have said this to you in other threads. I believe the reason you are not losing weight is you are already at a low weight...

As far as eating at night, I'm a believer that it doesn't matter (your body has no idea what time it is?), but don't eat out of boredom... I think that is the big issue with nighttime eating, it's usually boredom eating. If you are genuinly hungry have a small snack.

How tall are you and what bone size?

Thanks!

im 5'4" (165cm)
medium frame.
as for my menu (yesterday for example):
breakfast: shreded cabbage salad with olive oil, mayo, salt, pepper and some oragino
lunch: tuna salad, again with mayo, olive oil, abit of lemon juice, salt and peper
dinner: 100 grams of cheese, and cabbage salad (same as breakfast)
i snacked on 3 table spoons of wipped cream.
had 105 oz of water.
this isnt what i eat everyday, but close. sometimes i have an egg sald for lunch made with 3 eggs, sometimes i have fried salmon or chicken, along with some sort of salad or veggies. even on the days where i snack late..i would have a bowl of ground beef (i know it sounds gross, buti love it)
to be more specific, i chew about 2 sugar free gums per day. sometimes 3, depends!
and i exercise daily
can anyone find anything wrong with my menu?

100 grams of cheese - what does that equate to? Also, put all of your items into fitday.com, sometimes that will help, you'll get your total calorie, carb, fat etc counts. calories don't look to be too high... I find it really helps!

5'4 - 125 isn't unreasonable... are you muscular? I have a friend who is 5'4, is about 122-125, works out and looks great, she wouldn't want to be any thinner and she is small boned so keep in mind your own structure, etc when putting that goal down. I don't know you, so maybe you can lose those last 5 lbs that we all want to lose and I would understand that.

I'm no expert so maybe others can chime in.
