Default Whats your Thanksgiving plan?

So we all know there is going to be pie & potatos, rolls and yams .. all that stuff ... So i think it's important to have a Plan of what we are NOT going to eat and what were ARE.. Because remember " if you fail to plan, then you might as well plan to fail"

I will eat:

Turkey Turkey & more Turkey
Salad
Some black olives
Veggies (low carb ones)
deviled eggs

My plan is that if i start to get tempted i will just stuff myself with turkey so that i am so full i cant even think of pie or potato's .. lol i know that sounds silly but it's the only thing i can think of right now ..

Anyone else have a plan?

My menu,

1. Turkey
2. Faux mashed potatoes (cauliflower)
3. Creamed spinache
4. Green bean almondine
5. Low carb pumpkin pie with pecan crust.
6. Homemade cranberry sauce using splenda
7. Homemade Gravy (low carb)

I still have to make reg mashed potaoes, and rolls for the family, but they will love the pie and everything else and not even know the difference!

I will be going to another family members house for dinner. I am in charge of bringing potatoes, so I'm taking regular for them and cauliflower mashed for me (and whoever else wants some), will have turkey, veggies, salad and I'm making low carb pumpkin squares. I'm going to keep myself busy talking since we rarely all get together now days with everyone so busy. I really think I can do this!

Who else has a plan?

Yikes, I haven't even planned the menu yet! It's just my fiance and I for dinner, and we're going shopping for it today. What I'd like to have is this:

turkey breast
string beans
baked sweet potato
mashed cauliflower
a nice glass of wine

I'm not planning a huge dessert...the sweet potato will be dessert enough!

Planning a dessert for both of us would be tough--I'm gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, and my fiance is allergic to nuts! That leaves out ANY sort of crust idea for a pie...except soy and I don't eat soy either. I could do something crustless I suppose...but I think I'm just too lazy! Especially if it's only two of us, not worth it. Normally I make the George Stella cheesecake. Sigh.

Well I ate a BOATLOAD of turkey (with a little of my wife's gravy) and a huge salad. I do have to admit I had a bite of this and that as well. I am happy to say that I was able to maintain my ketosis. One holiday nemesis down, one to go! Good luck and Happy Holidays!
