| It really varies. Your first 2 weeks are normally alot. After that the loss slows down. Alot of people say they will lose little or none for a week or two and then all of the sudden they lose like 5-10 pounds. So basically the weight loss is not a constant thing. My personal experience is that after the first 2 weeks I lose .5 to 2 pounds a week and the occasional 0 or +1. Normally if I stall one week I lose big (5-10) the next week. Good luck and stick with this!

| My story is a little different. I have been on board for almost 11 weeks. I have lost a total of 41 pounds; but never more than 5lbs in any given week. I stay away from sodium (when possible) and work out often. That could be the difference. I am sure that it is just different for everybody. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

| As BFGarner said, it varies, however I've found that personally, it always averages out to 10lbs a month, which would be about 2 lbs a week. Saying that, I lost 11 lbs last week! But nothing this week so far.

| My weight loss was not consistent. After the first month, it was not unusual for me to lose a few pounds one week, then nothing for a week or more, but... that being said, every month right after TOM, I'd drop about two pounds. It took me one year to go from 202.5 to 135. I did not stay on plan the entire time and took some long breaks to get used to the "newer" me and to stabilize my weight a little bit. No regrets doing that as I feel it helped me keep my sanity. BTW, I have been between 128-130 since I hit goal-for the most part since May 2008. There have been a few times that I got back up to 137 (after a MAJOR two week binge- every day overeating and over stressing), but after one week of dropping the "garbage" I dropped back down to my "normal" weight of 130. Weight loss will not come off steady, some weeks nothing, some weeks a gain (especially if you're a woman), but remember that as long as you stay focused, you're making progress. I would also suggest taking measurements (and recording them) so that when you feel like you're not losing weight, you'll see that you're still losing inches. Good luck!

| I lost about 10 pounds in my first 2 weeks. However, since then I have only lost an additional 5 and it's been about 6-7 weeks since then. I did start measuring myself and I have lost a total of almost 17 inches all over. I went from a size 10-12 to a definite 6 and I still have about 12 pounds to go.

| I'm victim to the whoosh fairy. I'll often stall for weeks, and then whoosh, 5-10 lbs. That being said, one of the best things I've learned on these boards is that weight loss varies so much based on metabolism and amount of weight to lose, so don't get discouraged if other people lose more quickly than you. If you stick with this WOL you will never be as big as you were when you started, and that makes everything worth it. |
