| If you are a night owl, it is perfectly acceptable to eat late. What is not acceptable is not eating throughout the day. If you ate almost all of your carb AND protein intake at the end of the day, your body will convert much of that into glucose. YOur body cannot do that to fat that you eat. definitely split up your carbs and proteins into portions throughout the day. Breakfast was hard for me at first. I started having "dinner" food for breakfast; Since I have forced the issue of breakfast, I find myself hungry throughout the day and I eat a whole lot less at night. It did take about a month. Good luck and Happy New Year!

| Exactly. Dr. A does say you are to not go 6 waking hours without food, so at least eat light through the day. |

| I think that one of the reasons many diet 'experts' usually recommend not eating after a specific time is that nighttime eating is usually mindless eating and a problem for many overweight people. ie watching tv, boredom etc. So setting a specific time helps curb this. I've never been a believer on any scientific reason for it.
