Default Trying to stay positive...but hard

After getting down to 164 before the holidays, I found myself at 169 AFTEr the holidays. Really disappointed in myself. SO, I'm back at induction but have struggled not to cheat. I've had about three days now of clean induction. I know I cannot expect anything right away but the scale has been creeping up over the course of these last few days, too...up to 170.5. I realized that maybe I wasn't drinking enough water so made sure to get that in check yesterday. And TOM is just around the corner. I'm worried that I'm eating too many calories - yesterday I had about 1600 total. I've just felt gross and unattractive and disgusted with myself and am anxious to see some changes to raise my spirit a bit.

Stay off the scale for at least a week or after TOM. It takes a while for eating off plan to fully catch up to the scale.

You can't go back and change history, so the only thing to do is keep your spirits up and move forward with renewed commitment. Stay positive whether it is hard or not. Negative thinking will only bring on negative results.

Use this as a learning tool. Was the food you ate over the holidays really worth all the negative results to your body and spirit? There will always be consequences for our actions--you are getting yours. Don't look to the scale right now to affirm your self-worth. A number on the scale does not define your attractiveness, so your feelings of disgust and grossness will have negative consequences. Spend some time considering your other attributes (non-scale related) and find things you like about yourself. Forgive yourself and move on.

Sunny!
