Congratulations on your loss
It is reassuring to see the difference when you have been on induction for a week or so

I have coffee with half an ounce of single cream and 1 spenda sweetener. That works out to 1.5g of carbs.

Just to motivate you, my sceptic husband started this with me on Jan 2... and he is 20lbs lighter!!!

And we've been eating really well - including the crackling off the roast pork lol

He is tall (just under 6'5" and a 40 waist - but looks slim (git) but the weight is only on his belly really with lean arms/legs/bum etc) - the weight has just seemed to drop off him.

Good luck.

Beverley

Dont kill yourself over getting into ketosis. My strips never get to the correct color - as my mom said: she could eat just a small amount of green beans and it would take her out of ketosis.

I am just saying... it is nice to give it a try and see if you have any success but it is more important to just follow the plan.

Just a comment about those sugar alcohols, Biogeek told me that the American Diabetes Association tells diabetic people to count 1/2 of the listed sugar alcohols because it does have an impact on blood sugar (as Brook mentioned.) And since diabetics really need to monitor their blood sugars, it kind of tells you something about the sugar alcohols and their "no effect on blood sugar" claims.....
