Ketostix after 6 months?

About 6 months ago I purchased ketostix. The container states not to use after 6 months from opening. I used one today anyway, and I am still getting a positive result of deep color. I know I must be in ketosis just by feeling lack of appetite and losing pretty well for being my second time around- but does anyone know if the color defaults to this when used 6 months after opening? I want to keep using them so I don't spend more money - but I also want accurate results.

I think an out-of-date stick will not register any colour change at all, from what I have seen people posting.

I think you are right! I am still deep in color and had my spouse test and he was no change...he isn't on Atkins so I didn't expect one. I also searched the net and have found similar responses.
