| Why do you want to have chewing gum? For "snacking"? For eating something sweet? At the end of the day, there's no difference between chewing gum and other junk food like Atkins bars, diet coke, etc. But to answer your question... Most SF chewing gums I saw are sweetened with sorbitol, which is an allowed sugar alcohol... so you can subtract it from the total carbs. However, some people are stalled by sugar alcohols and should count them toward their net carbs. It depends on each person... As a rule of thumb, if they don't cause you to visit the bathroom, you should count them as net carbs.
