| Natalie, I am a rank newbie myself. I was also very concerned about cholesterol as my current levels are sky high. I was afraid I would drop dead with clogged up arteries if I began this diet. But I have read so many success stories where people show their good and bad cholesterol levels after a few month of eating this way. The results are very encouraging.... lower bad cholesterol and triglyceride scores, higher good cholesterol scores, and blood sugar normalized. I am looking forward to having my blood checked in 4 or 5 months. I believe that there will be a tremendous improvement. Read as many success stories as you can on this and other low carb boards. It will greatly reassure you! |

| Quick answer: Read the book or at least try to find it on the forums. Long story short: Atkins improves most peoples cholesterol. As for the eggs, it shouldn't be a problem, unless you are eating them all day every day. Some people use eggbeaters as an alternative.

| My book arrived yesterday and I have began reading it when I opened the package. I am reading all the technical stuff and tonight I will be starting the next chapter so hopefully I will become a lot wiser to the rules. I have made some silly mistakes. I ate a whole big bag of peanuts for dinner thinking it was alright and I was eatting lots of cheese. I think I am still eatting too much. I still haven't worked out how to count carbs and what the difference is with net carbs. As I go along I supose I will learn more but at least I am losing weight. May be not the healthiest choices for the induction period but I'm working on it. |

| I'm not sure if 30 eggs per week is too much, but I think it is pretty boring. There is so many other foods you can eat (that do not involve eggs), even during induction! Did you check Linda's website? Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Home Quote:
