| I don't think a "little" protein will hurt at night, it also fills you up. I use to be a night snacker, usually in front of the television. |

| Hi Chris, I deal with the same thing. I find the best thing to do is to clean something or do something around your apartment/house as long as you're up and moving. I usually find that by the time I'm through, I realize that I'm not hungry anymore! Eating at night is most likely because you're bored, not because you're actually hungry. For me, coming home to a kitchen full of food is automatically tempting after being couped up in an office all day. Fight the temptation. Drink lots of water and move around. Replace the eating habit with something else, like exercise. Lastly, if you don't want to do jumping jacks around your living room all night, try to pick up a hobby that utitilizes your hands so you won't be able to eat. Knitting is good, but that depends on how comfortable you are with your sexuality...ha! Good luck, you can do it : )

| Now it's never good to GORGE yourself, but a nighttime atkins friendly snack is not going to kill you. I've heard many people comment on how this is something that is appealing about this diet. That extreme guilt is not there. Also a plus, once you are in ketosis, your appetite should decrease DRAMATICALLY; I have no desire to eat at night and that definitely was not the case prior to the Atkins WOL. It's also good to keep busy at times when you know you usually snack, oftentimes we tend to snack out of boredom or habit and it's good to find tricks and distractions to break yourself of that. Good luck and congrats for making this choice!!
