Talking I want to challenge myself, who would like to join me?...

Ok - so I have decided I am putting the scale away until March 1st. I weighed myself on saturday (which is my normal weigh in "day"...) and I honestly want to try and challenge myself to put that scale away in the closet until March 1st. Considering that February IS technically the shortest month, it's not that long, right? lol

But I am challenging myself here and now NOT to weigh myself for 1 month.

I am one month in and I'm 8 pounds down and I'm SOOO incredibly happy about that - however - this time around - unlike past "diets" I've actually found that I'm NOT obsessing over the scale as much as I used to.

Instead, I'm finding that I'm very happy with the fact that I can say, "HEY! I've not had any sugar, bread, pasta, potatoes or rice in the past MONTH!" "nope, sorry I don't eat that stuff".

I also realized yesterday that I don't OBSESS over every bite of food that goes into my mouth like I always did when I was on a low-fat diet.

I'm not hungry alllllllllll day long and I love the fact that I'm finally taking vitamins too!

I like the food I'm eating and I don't feel deprived in any way whatsoever.


So I am challenging myself for 1 month to NOT step on that scale.

Good luck with the challenge! I did this a couple of years ago and was able to get over my obsession with the scale!

Scales are evil, thats for sure. I know you can do it. I am also trying to ignore the scale and if its out of sight, its usually out of mind
