| That is so great. I'm so jealous. We have one farmer here that sells grass fed but it is extremely expensive. Occassionally I'll buy a couple of steaks. I wish I could buy a side and fill my freezer. The only extra expense I allow myself is organic eggs from a local farmer. Even that is 4.25 a dozen (And I go through at least 2 dozen a week). |

| I live six miles from Polyface Farms, owned by the Salatin family. Joel Salatin is the Guru of pastured animals. He invented the Eggmobile and has written several books and made a couple of DVDs. He makes normal organic practices look like industrial farming. Unfortunately, I can't afford his prices. His farm products (Salad Bar Beef, Pigaerator Pork, Pastured Poultry (Eggs, Broilers, Turkeys), Forage-Based Rabbits) are in such demand that he doesn't even have to deliver any of it. Restaurants from D.C. drive down to pick up their orders. I'm going to work on his farm some this summer so I can earn some freebies. I've had his beef one time and it was to die for. I grew up on a farm, and have trouble eating meat, knowing how they are raised.

| I can't source grass fed beef in Georgia. I did a deployment to Brazil and Argentina 2 years ago and spent probably a month in each country. The Argentine beef is the best I've ever had, and Brazil was Atkins paradise. If you've ever been to a churrascarria, you know what I mean. It was cheap too. I was having the most incredible steak dinners for about $10. I would definately say it was on par with Smith and Wollensky, but $90 cheaper. I did find buffalo in Georgia, but it was grain fed and tasted just like grain fed cow. I need to get back to the midwest.

| I live in Eastern Oregon. It looks like a farming community but I sure don't know what they are doing with it. Only a couple places within 25 miles advertises eggs and only one sells in the winter. |

![]() You also have "cow share" available in your state. Across the Potomac, cow share is illegal. I buy eggs from a farmer I know. They're delicious. And of course, I have a small veggie garden every year.

I am one of 10 children raised on a farm drinking raw milk and we all are still alive and kicking. There are not many people in their 80's and 90's as healthy as my family.

| Sunny, I would like to have the option of buying raw milk. The way I see it is if I want to take on the risk of raw milk, then it my problem alone. Also, it's possible to pasteurize milk in your home kitchen, so I don't see what the big deal is. I would LOVE some raw milk or raw milk I've pasteurized so I could try some cheese recipes.....
