| I agree (and started when you did)! My boss told me the other day that she can tell I am getting smaller! It takes just that one to be the first and from there, the comments just keep comming! Yeah!

| well, being that i just started the other day...no one has given me any compliments yet (they are sure to come), however, i totally know the feeling and remember the last time i was on atkins, years ago, people were amazed. keep up the good work. i wish i had the willpower that you do to keep away from the scale...i havent gotten to that level yet but i admire you for it. you know...i may just give myself a mini challenge to not weigh for the next 3 days (until monday morning). and then maybe then i might stretch it out till the next monday being scale-less (which will have taken me up to a week) and then see if i can go any longer than that. but, you know what, even if i cant take going longer than once a week, its still better than 2-3 times a day, huh? until later.... keep on keepin on! |

| GOOD FOR YOU, Keriann!!! It IS nice when someone notices and they really notice it enough to pipe up and say something. My scale isn't moving much right now but I have lost a considerable amount and the comments just keep on coming. They really started when I went down 2 sizes in jeans and I was wearing smaller ones that didn't look like I raided some fat person's closet!! Someone at work who I would never ever expect a comment from stopped me the other day and said, "You've lost weight haven't you?? Like, a lot of weight, haven't you?" This is a young guy who I wouldn't bet knows what day it is....and he noticed. Hmmm, so nice. I also admire your ability to stay away from the scale. I can't do that right now. I'm too close to ONEderland to miss that progress downward and just over the line. Maybe when I'm down 10 pounds from now I'll stay away for a bit...but right now I feel like I'm at a very pivotal point for me and I sure don't want to miss it!!! |

| hi kerianne! i have really enjoyed reading your posts around the board. you're having fun with this aren't you and that will really help keep you motivated. i am happy for you that you are getting "noticed." that HAS to be motivating to you to keep at it. i must live amongst strange people (actually, i KNOW that i do!) most of the comments made to ME along my weight loss routine have been more along the lines of "wow, you've lost a lot of weight...are you SURE you are ok?" or..."have you been sick, you look sooooooo (fill in the blank.) many people just don't say a thing. no i am NOT sick and i am quite fine AND healthy. i think that many people just have trouble knowing how to be positive i am GLAD you've been met with such positive support. take it and RUN! you will be back to your old shape in no time. i love your blog and photos....your dedication is motivating to ME! happy valentine's day and enjoy your dinners out with loved ones. |

| Yay! Isn't it great to be noticed for the right reasons!!! I totally get it Keriann, my niece came round the other night and commented on how slim I was - it felt great! She has some weight to lose herself, and I tried to persude her to join me on Atkins, but she is insisting on sticking to a super low cal diet which is leaving her hungry and lethargic.... It's frustrating, because she has seen how it worked for me, but still insists on a plann that is surely going to fail |
