| Hi there, I am on day four too, and I also noticed a difference in how I was feeling today. I practically had to choke down the food. yesterday I had so much energy. today is a completely different story. I came striaght home from work and fell asleep. I am also curious if this is normal. My back hurts as well...I hope this doesn't last too long. |

| Induction flu is more feeling tired, weak, headache and a queasy tummy or lack of appetite. Everything but the lack of appetite should go away in a day or two. Ketosis is an appetite suppressant. You may have bad breath, smelly urine and sweat for a few days, but if you drink lots of water it will help you get past all the yucky stuff. You need lots of plain water while you are detoxing and to flush out the byproducts of fat burning.

| To both of you with a back ache--make sure you are drinking plenty of plain water to flush the kidneys of the toxins and byproducts of fat burning. The first few days are rough on the kidneys and liver. When the kidneys get in trouble, they depend on the liver to help out. You don't want your liver to get out of whack--that's where all the fat-burning takes place.

| Thanks so much also for the tip about the kidneys! I will definitely have to do that because before I went on this diet, I had a kidney stone. I have never had them before and I know once you get them, it is more likely to get them back, so I don't want any problems with my kidneys. Well, off to drink some water! Also thanks for the info on the induction flu. I definitely think I have it. I am queasy and not hungry (imagine that)! I am sitting here with some broccoli and my own cheese sauce, and some friend chicken breaded with pork rinds, and I cannot eat it! Last edited by sexywannabe; February 19th, 2009 at 07:56 PM. | Just wanted to add that I did not have the induction flu, but I was really sick! Later on that night I started vomiting and had the runs all night long. I had not thrown up in years, but there was a stomach bug going around my sons school. I am better now though, but I have to admit that I got off my diet yesterday. I was so weak, and I had to eat something, and meat or veggies sounded awful to me, so I ate some peanut butter and crackers. Of course after that I binged on p & b sandwiches. I am back on it today though because I feel better. |
