Default Doing Fat Fast. So fat 10 pounds under two weeks.

Well I started at 200 pounds and now I am 190 after doing about 10 carbohydrates a day and unlimited calories. I lost the 5 pounds in like 4 days, everything is just melting. Jean size 33 tight to 31 already!!!!!! Size medium shirt to small!! I mean this diet really works. I have tons of fat with my meal like half a stick of butter and tons of protien. I keep my carbohydrate really low because I get discoraged easily and now I dont even want carbs. Eww the thought of them really makes me sick. I also love the appetite suppressing effects of ketosis. All I had today was two chickens and barely hungry for dinner. How much should I expet in the coming weeks?

Since what you are doing is not Atkins induction, nor is it the fat fast, which severely limits protein and you are limited to 1,000 calories per day, how should we know? You are doing a crazy fad crash diet, and who knows what you will do to your metabolism over the next few weeks.

Do you really mean you ate two whole chickens? If I ate two whole chickens before dinner, I wouldn't be hungry either--for about three days.

Yeah, what she said. This is not a lose weight fast diet. If your going to do fat fast, at least READ THE BOOK and know what your doing. Don't harm your health because it sounds like thats exactly what your doing

hi.. I have noticed that some people join the list... and really don't get it.. to follow atkins... they come up with their own version... I don't get this.... you have to eat your veggies... you have to have your fat.. ect.... these are the rules of atkins... why do people get on here and try to get around it??? Lia

I am with you here. The fat fast should only be used by those who have resistance to weight loss.

So people claim they are on Atkins- get sick- and then tell everyone they were doing Atkins so that this lifestyle gets a bad rap over and over again.

Personally, I have read the book about 4 times. I know this lifestyle back to front and this "plan" that is being followed definately is not atkins.

Read the section of the book that actually covers fat fast.

If you had, you'd know that it's not that you're limited to 10 carbs.

It's limited to 1000 calories and 90% of your calories coming from fat.

It's a diet consisting of a LARGE proportion of your fat cal coming from else where OTHER than protein. And taking vitamins as well.

We're going to be harsh with you because Dr. Atkins SPECIFICALLY stated that it is DANGEROUS for ANYONE to do the fat fast if they can still lose weight just on induction alone. And since you have not given any indication that you have done induction, to try to help you, we're going to assume you haven't given it a chance.

Read the book, and follow his menu that he gave you exactly as planned if you're going to do this. You're going to hurt yourself and screw your body over if you're not careful. Furthermore, you're treating the diet like a fad diet. If you don't end up screwing yourself, you're more than likely going to gain it all back when you jump off of it after reaching your goal. It's SOOOO much better if you follow Dr. Atkin's word BY THE BOOK... especially when you're meddling in something like this.


EDIT: NOW that I'm thinking about it, your post seems more like a joke to me. It's your first post here, and so far all you've done is talk crazy talk in the main diet forum where it'd get the most attention. Who in the world would eat half a stick of butter with steak? I'd throw up.

What I fail to "get" is when they have made up their own rules, which bears no resemblance to Atkins, then they ask us questions and ask for advice as if we have a clue what will happen if they eat this way or or how much they will lose or why they are not losing on "their diet." It's hard enough to give real answers and advice when they are actually doing Atkins.
