| OMG I finally had a woosh... I cheated and had a binge and was so scared to jump on the scales but did anyway (yesterday) and was very happy I did. So this has inspired me to be very good from now on. That and I was so sick after cheating it was not funny - all day on Sunday I could hardly look at food and mainly had water all day.

| don't even get me started on the couple weeks after induction. 226-220-218-216-218-216-218-215-218-220-220. Thats the general pattern i'm seeing, and today is day 21. i cut out all deli meat/sausage/bacon and started working out like a fiend, so hopefully i'll see a change in the right direction next week.

| Beth finally got her whoosh today. Kibskix (I finally got it right, LOL) how're you doing? I know you are doing it right but it stinks to have to be patient. |

| i'm doing pretty good china! I wouldn't call it a woosh really, but i got past the PISS stall. i mentioned in my last post a couple things i did, but i ended up doing a bit more. -cut out processed food -cut cheese down to maybe 1-2oz a week -starting taking coconut oil -cut way back on splenda, maybe 1-3 packets for a whole week -started working out 2 hours a day anyway, about 2 days after i started doing all those things, i began to lose! i lost a whole pound a day for about 3 or 4 days, one day i lost a pound and a half! i've since slowed down the workouts a little to 60-90 a day with rest days. between april 1st and april 9th (not weighing after that, TOM hit) i lost about 6lbs and three inches off my hips.

| Kib, that's great. Sounds like you didn't just break the stall, you smashed it. Spanish, if you are still in induction I would suggest moving up to OWL. For many people it starts things going along again. |

| darn right lol. since i've slowed down the work outs the weights been slowing down to 1-2lbs a week. apparently working out agrees with me which is nice because you're always worried that working out will make you gain, blahblahblah

| "I know from past experience my body will often go six weeks without losing a single pound. Or it will tease me by giving me a glimpse of a lower weight then bounce back up three or four pounds and leave me hanging. Then, out of the blue, six or seven weeks into a "stall", I will lose several pounds at once. BUT the point is the pattern of loss is WAIT & WHOOSH. Yours may be the same so put away the scale. If you are truly doing things right then the loss will follow. Use inches instead and try to focus on how you are feeling physically. Its tough to be patient but I am hoping that some of you may recognize yourselves in this and have the patience to wait it out. Until I got used to this pattern, I played a mental game with myself. My body and I were at war. I had the goal to retake my body by sticking to the woe. My fat cells kept trying to hoard the weight to fool me into giving up. It was just a waiting game to see who would give out first. Would I give in to carbs and wave the white flag? Or would I withstand the seige of the scale and wait until the fatcells gave up and went home? I became determined that I was not going to allow my fat cells to scare me off the WOE. I'd wait for the whoosh and trust that doing the right thing would eventually give me the results I wanted. I am stubborn and that helped ." This is exactly the " AaaHaaa" moment I have been coming to realize these past few days. You described me to a T... You hit it on the head perfectly. I have notice a patter such as this for the past two months. It's so good to see others confirm this exact pattern of loss. This solidifies the WOE/ WOL even more for me. If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times... I LOVE ADBB

| Lacy, you are the person I was writing for, then. I figured I can't be the only one and sometimes just recognizing the pattern and knowing it is "normal" can make all the difference. Funnily enough, this time around (and it has only been 1 years since last time) I am losing a steady pound a week for the most part. I have no idea why. LOL. Just goes to show you anything can happen on Atkins--but the bottom line is that one way or another you will lose. |
