Red face Today is my third day of my first time on Atkins

Hello,
I am new to this forum. I was feeling dizzy this morning when I woke up, but I felt really well in the afternoon. I have been eating 2 eggs, 2 bacon and tomato slices for breakfast. For lunch I had 2 chicken tenders (breast) greens with avocado and cucumber + oil and vinegar. at night I had a turkey burget with greens, tomato, cucumbers. I had 4 slices of low fat swiss cheese and about 6 pork rinds with topenade (chopped olives and peppers in olive oil) for snacks. I drank about 3 tablespoons of flax meal with water and 8+ glasses of water. I am not sure how to meassure my vegetables. Can someone help me? I really want to do this right. I have been gaining weight pound after pound and would like to go back to 105 pounds.

hey there! welcome to adbb

there are two ways to measure veg:

1. by volume - this means buying a measuring jug (i got a plastic one for a dollar from dollar tree)

2. by weight - which would mean buying a kitchen scale

i prefer by volume personally, because im not good at reading scales!

have you thought of using FitDay? its a website that allows you to track everything you eat and it does loads of calculations and diagrams for you - its an invaluable tool - best of all its totally free!!

I see you are using low fat cheese and eating quite a lot of protein. Make sure you keep your fat percentage up. During Induction, you should be aiming for 65% fat, 5% carbs and 30% protein.

Flax is only allowed during Induction as a fiber supplement or as a constipation reliever. As a fiber supplement, it is limited to 1 tbsp per day. As a constipation reliever, you should try 1-2 tbsp, and only if this does not work increase it to 3 or so tbsp.

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"

Good Luck, once you get past 4 or 5 days you will think wow! why did I not do this before. Keep up the fat and protein the weight will drop. Veggie are important eat the right amount.
