| Here's my reply from the other thread. It's a good thing you created a separate one. Quote:

Ally, I had gall stones and they were terrible. First suggestion, see the doctor. Barring that, go off plan for two weeks and eat NO FAT whatsoever. If your symptoms subside you probably have a bunch of stones in there and your GB may need to come out. I had mine out and have been fine since but fatty foods and chicken (don't know why) would keep me up all night with that ground glass in your stomach kind of pain.

hi both of you thanks for your help. Went to the docs yesterday and am please to say that I don't have gall stones afterwards the doctor has given me some anti spasmotic pills called colofac MR (mebeverine hydrochloride) I need to take one in the morning and one at night and she said it should settle after a few weeks. They are working which is great no more pain at the moment Also on a separate note do I have to count my two cups of decaf coffee as one carb each? I haven't been up till now but saw something about it on another thread. Thanks again for all your support. Ally

As long as you have some color you are fine. Darker color doesn't mean better. So glad you got things checked out. Hope the pain is gone for good. Can't answer the coffee question for you, sorry.

This is going to sound crazy, but are you eating beans? Even a small chili from Wendy's used to put me in pain until I read an article about the Atkins diet + beans = something crazy with the bacteria in your intestines. I think you're supposed to take probiotics to counter the affect, but it's been awhile, so I'm not sure. Hope you feel better!
