hey slapshot -- don't forget cream cheese as another form of fat to keep you feeling full. I eat it in celery, in a bowl microwaved with a little cinnamon & splenda (it's a good desert type item if you need something just a little sweet). I make tuna salad, egg salad, deviled eggs, broccoli salad, cabbage slaw (no carrots) it all adds up and helps keep me full.

Don't forget you can have 1Tbsp of flaxseed (flaxmeal) a day on induction -- there is a great little cookie you can make that tastes good and helps keep you regular!! Take 1Tbsp flaxmeal and 1 pat of butter (I use a little over a pat) microwave 30 seconds, add cinnamon to taste (I put lots in and also ground cloves) add a packet of splenda (or 1/2 packet if you don't want it real sweet) and 1 tsp of water....let it set about 30 seconds put the mixture on parchment paper in the microwave flatten it out with the back of a spoon -- cook for 2 to 2-1/2 minutes....it's another nice little yummie in the afternoon or evening.

Another is to smear cream cheese on a kosher dill pickle (about 1/4" thick) and wrap it in thin ham or corned beef...wrap in foil & put in the fridge overnight....cut it into 1/4" thick pieces and eat ....it's great tasting.

Good luck

A doctor named Henry Bieler did research and found evidence of sodium starvation in the tissues of people who consumed large amounts of refined salt.

Everyone needs some salt, but it needs to be the right kind. It's when the balance of sodium, potassium and magnesium get out of balance that there is a problem. In "unrefined" sea salt, there is still plenty of those minerals to balance the sodium chloride. Just because it says sea salt doesn't mean it hasn't been refined and had all the trace minerals removed. I only use Redmond RealSalt. I would buy the Celtic sea salt mined by the ancient methods, from the salt marshes of Brittany if I could find it.
I second this! Not only is it better for you, but it also tastes better. A little sprinkle is more satisfying for me than regular table salt, even though it doesn't really taste as "salty." I also splurge and keep some fleur de sel on hand though the price keeps me from using it more often!
