| It's not! You need to buy block cheese and shred it yourself. Also, this will make it easier on you. Buy the 8 oz packages. Then cut them into 8 even chunks and place them in baggies. This way you'll know how much cheese you're getting! |

| Actually, from high school chemistry class,I thought cellulose was a fiber so its impact might be minimal for carbs. Help? Moderator? I would like to know this one too. |

| I don't know the answer to the permissable question...but wanted to mention that the shredded stuff just doesn't "act" the same in recipes...it doesn't melt quite right. It doesn't have as much flavor as the block cheese, either. I'm guilty of using it myself for convenience sake, but I'm trying to use the blocks more for these reasons.

Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again. |

| Here's some info I found. I was thinking about the starch they use to keep it from sticking. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...302-post8.html |

| I saw that same info on a website. That's kind of why I thought it might act similar to fiber. Hmmm. Best to stay away I guess, just to be safe. |
