yes momma!
my tendons have always been wiggly. theres a picture of me at age 3 with my legs behind my head, and i could practically jump rope with my arms as a kid. I played soccer for 10 years and ended up tearing my achilles tendon the same year I dislocated my shoulder. The knee thing I think is just because I went out and played soccer on x mas without stretching or even workout out at ALL in who knows how long, and I dont think my body was ready for it, and its bugged me every since, just when I bent it with weight on it, right below my knee.
I think my workout is pretty sensible, other than I should probably throw in rest days. The cardio is on the gazelle, which doesnt bother my knee in the slightest. I had thrown the football around for about an hour before I did my first 30 day shred, and thats why my back/shoulder are killin me. I don't push my knee at all, and always stop when it bothers me, use hot/cold therapy and all that jazz. Its a bit frustating though. I don't think I get a workout worth anything unless i'm sweating, and after doing the gazelle for almost a month, it takes around 35 minutes to get there. I don't want to end up having to stay on that thing for hours at a time just to get some kind of workout because I can't put stress on my knee to do anything else

The hypermobile joints run in families. Both my kids could stand on one leg and put the other foot/leg behind their ear. My son is 6"4" tall and can still do it (my daughter died). Both can/could sit on the sofa and put both feet behind their head. It is fun for a joke or laugh, but the condition is dangerous.

This is a bad memory, but my daughter was able to make her hand fold up into nothing (it was tiny anyway). She could get her hands out of handcuffs, no matter how tight. When they removed her from life support and she was supposed to be brain dead, she kept getting her hands out of the restraints and removing her oxygen and feeding tube and all the electrodes. She really hated the oximeter they finally taped on her finger, but they were never able to keep her from removing it. The nurses didn't understand how she was doing it until they watched her. We finally had to have someone on each side of her to grab her hands. She was fast.

i can turn my thumbs around backwards but thats about the extent of my small joint flexibility. I've been in a habit for many years now not to push them. It didnt hurt as a kid, but it sure hurts now. weird joint problems do run in my family. my dad had the same shoulder dislocation thingy I have, and he had to have screws put into his to keep them in place. yikes! And my uncles on the other side have a degenerative joint disease in their hips and they have to wear special shoes because one legs longer than the other now. I can still put my legs behind my head, not that I make a habit of it, but I havent attempted to dislocate my shoulders in a long time, because these days it isnt neat anymore, it just hurts lol. My brother isn't weirdly flexible at all though
