Don't worry about leaving induction. What's the worst that can happen: you stall or gain a little weight. If you happen to go a bit overboard in the carb department you can always go back to an induction phase and begin again. It might be inconvenient to start over, but if push came to shove just know you can remedy the situation with a simple rinse/repeat. That said, it sounds like your induction has included a lot of "cheating" so I might suggest giving it another (solid) week if possible. It's pretty difficult to get through, if it's your first time, but doing it correctly really helps in the long run.

If one would have to restart Induction every time he/she sees a stall or a gain during OWL, most of us would be on Induction forever. What you have to do in case your weight loss stalls is to take one step back -- either drop the last food you've added or cut back 5 net carbs, depending which of these was the last thing you've changed. Restarting Induction over and over again would never allow one to progress through all the Atkins phases and do the Diet correctly.

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource.

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"

I never said they would have to go back to induction; that's crazy. I just pointed out that going back to induction is always an option, especially directed to the original poster since they've had a bumpy ride of it with all the caffeine, carb bars, and other indulgences.

My actual suggestion was to give induction another week, but in solid fashion. I'm of the belief a solid induction phase contributes to a noticeable difference in the initial weight loss and therefore provides the necessary self-confidence to move forward with the rest of the program.
