| Crawl the web for recipes and go to the grocery store! There are so many delicious foods to eat that will make you slim, so embrace them. After a few days of clean eating you won't even look sideways at a donut - it'll gross you out. Don't know if that's magic or anything, but I LOVE this food and wouldn't trade it for an artificial neon orange sack of doritos. |

| I've used Atkins on and off since the 70's and he has saved my life/sanity many times. Now I'm under alot of extra personal stress and have fallen back on sweets, in particular...sweets with dark chocolate involved. I don't do Doritos or fast food or bread or pasta, so that's not a problem. My problem is dark chocolate and the good feeling it gives me...for the moment. I need to get off this for just three days, THREE days and then I'll be back on Atkins and strong again. But right now I can't seem to get over the hump. I'm so disgusted with myself and mad and sad and blue and ticked off.

| Just start every morning trying and keep trying til you get a full clean day and then build on it. There is no magic. Just keep trying to get clean. Dump the chocolate in your house in the garbage and take it to the curb NOW. Better wasted money that on your thighs. |

| Just keep saying...."if its to be it's up to me" over and over again. Once you have made a decision, you will get doing what you need to do, as you know what to do already. I agree China, get it out of the house. When I first quit drinking, there was some wine in the house, I needed it gone. The constant in-your-face temptation sucked. Why put yourself thru that?

| You can stay off plan for 3 days but I sure as heck wouldn't. I had a cheat meal on Easter Sunday and it threw me off for what, almost a couple of weeks now?? I was losing steadily and now my body is NOT happy with the deviation. I was up almost 10 lbs a few days after the meal. DON'T do that to yourself. It only sets you back and creates more work (pounds to lose) on your journey. There is no magic outside yourself. It's inside you but you have to want it. When you decide taking care of you is more important than any temporary fix chocolate has to offer, you'll be ready. Get the poison out of your house. |

| Tuff Love.... GET YOUR BEHIND BACK ON THE BAND WAGON. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, and start eating healthy again. You can do this, it's not an impossible task. Dust yourself off and get back up. How about those words? You can do this! Amanda |

| Just your post alone should be motivation for you. You know carbs hate you and you hate them so get rid of them already. PLAN, PLAN, PLAN. Take the time to write your meals out so you know what you are having. Get rid of all the unopened bad foods in your house and give them to family or to a food bank. Throw away, or give to family, the opend carb or sugar crap. Go get your healthy Atkins induction foods and just do it. Don't play the mental game of it to the point you feel you are hitting roadblocks; just get up and do it! Good luck, all you need is the right attitude. |

| You guys are good. I would have responded sooner, but we have company from out of town. The magic words comment I made is just an expression. I needed just what you guys gave me...the words I needed to hear, and to me they were magic. I just needed some encouragement. I ask my husband for it, and he grunts - no support there. Once I get going...and get past the 3 day mark, I'll be free and clear. First day is the toughest, but I'll do it. Thanks to everyone for giving me hades!

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource. Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
