| No, I don't think it's normal to be that sick even with induction flu! I would recommend that you see your doctor. Most people who get induction flu usually get it after just a few days on Atkins and it's gone by the end of the first week. I hope you are feeling better real soon. Congrats on the 13 lb. loss! |

| Thank you for the response. I will go see a doctor if it doesn't go away in a couple days. It is just horrible. It is so hard to get through the day. I have also starting have heartburn, or what feels like acid reflux today. I have been browsing online for what could be the cause of the nausea.. do you think it is possible that it is from being dehydrated, or constipated? I haven't gone to the bathroom in 4 days either. I have been drinking plenty of water, but my mouth and lips are dry, so I may be dehydrated. The past couple of days I can barely get water down, but I am trying. |

| Well, the only two things that make me that sick are flu and (feels awkward saying this- and pregnancy) Definitely sounds like you are dehydrated but if you have been throwing up a lot that could make your lips feel dry and chapped too. The acid may be from all the irritation of your esophagus. Usually my reflux disappears while on Atkins. Hope you feel better soon. |

| Thanks for your reply. No chance of pregnancy at all. I would imagine if I had the flu I would have other symptoms as well... I guess my best bet would be to see a doctor.. but I'll wait and see how I feel in a couple days.. Thanks again. |

| A couple more days of throwing up, not eating and not going to the bathroom and you're going to be in pretty bad shape. This doesn't sound the least bit normal to me. Unless you're doing something extreme and crazy, I'd say something is definitely wrong and needs correcting now... not in a couple of days.

| Forrest is right. It's better to get it checked now. What you have has nothing to do with the Induction flu.

| It could be constipation, Have you had a bowel movement? Go see your doctor. I hope you start feeling better soon.

| At the start if I didn't drink enough water, I completely lost my appetite and felt very sick and shakey. I would definitely get yourself checked out but just make sure you are downing that H20!!! x |

| It could be a food allergy... Have you eaten anything in the past week that you haven't had before? Also, a stomach virus 'flu' doesn't have to come with other symptoms... depends on the virus... |
