Less than thrilled to see my face on a before weight loss ad

Hello atkiners... was checking my email today (it was on the hotmail site) and an ad for a weight loss company flashed up and I was shocked to see my face looking back at me (a before pic I had posted on this site) needless to say I found it quite shocking and accidently clicked off of it instead of on it to further investigate. Now i cannot find it again. If anyone comes accross it please let me know... On principal that they are blantly lying alone is really irritating, let alone they are sleazy enough to use a full face shot. I will be in contact with them when I find out the site (along with my lawyer). (it's the pic of my in a black tank with pink writing) I know this has happened to others on this board and it's really got my goat going. Let me know if anyone happens across it. Thanks!

this is the part where i'd leave a nasty, nasty comment on their page.
I had some fake yahoo account steal my myspace picture once a few years back. Threatened them with legal action and they took it down, but who knows where they put it back up again.

funny... my small little town is showing up on her site as well.... part of more of the fake advertising... my picture is not on this site but rather on an ad that links to it



I contacted the site as well as hotmail msn advertising

I couldn't find your pictures, they are a different woman now, and oddly enough, from my city? Clever ads, they know where we're from. I'll keep my eye out for them. I clicked on all the links too, and had a heck of a time getting them off my screen!

Where are your boobs in the after picture? The after picture looks nothing like you. They would have been more convincing if they had used your real after picture!

I only saw mine once, but it was on one of those flash ads and I didn't click on it in time. It's time we all watermark our pictures.

The Acai berry pills are a scam to begin with. If a person order's the "free" bottle for only shipping costs, they will automatically start billing the credit card 15 days after you receive the pills unless you call to cancel. Good luck calling because nobody ever answers the phone. So what I did was, I scammed them, I ordered 2 bottles with a credit card in my husbands name and one in my name, then I canceled the credit cards after I received the bottles, MWHAHAHAHA! I already knew their intention on charging my card, so usually when I am in doubt I ialways call in my cc as lost and it gets replaced with a new number.

As for the city and state thing, they get that from our ip address.

I think that's really crappy what they did with your photo, but most likely the company is off shore. I think my packages of pills came from Florida but usually they have people in the US working for them. That's the only way they can scam and steal peoples money without the Feds getting involved. They have been around a while and the US can't do anything when they aren't located here.

TogaGirl, I'm so sorry this has happened to you!!! It's not right or fair. THIS is a HUGE reason I don't want to post pics on the site. I wish there was a safe way to do it. I think when I get to goal, I might send before and after's to my closest peeps on this board in a PM. It sucks to feel cheated out of the from others here but I don't want to risk it. I know I'd let it bother me waaaaaay more than it should. I also like being able to post without a coworker possibly identifying me as I enjoy the ability to be candid and honest without worrying about reprisal from an employer who thinks the almighty dollar is the equivalent of curing childhood cancers. They're offended by thinkers. It scares them!

The least they could have done was photoshop the girls in! hahahaha While I don't expect a response from the company, I'm hoping at least msn advertising will take down that particular ad on their site as I've contacted them and it clearly violates their advertising guidlines.... ugh... now i've got a headache... gonna get some aggression off at the gym
