Default Atkins Day 3

So I pretty much finished my third day on Atkins and I am slowly becoming more aware of my carb intake. My first day I cheated really bad and I ingested over 100+ carbs on a late night eating binge. The second day I did better and ingested 35 carbs for the whole day. Today, my third day, I ingested 25 carbs. I know it is over the limit but I just take it day by day and so far I have done good progress but my goal for tomorrow is to actually take in 18-20 carbs. I know I can do it and I will.

I am still struggling to take in enough vegetables and water. Once I get down to 20 carbs a day I am going to try to cut out the diet soda and up my vegetable intake. I know induction won't be only a two week phase for me...I am probably looking at induction for about a month but I want to do this the right way and really live the Atkins Lifestyle. Couple of questions if anyone has an answer I would appreciate the help:

1. The Atkins Bars good or bad? I bought the peanut butter ones and they are delicios and only have 2 net carbs. I think they are a lifesaver for when I have bad sugar fits. Has anyone experienced good or bad results as to eating these?

2. Fried Pork Skins. They have no carbs and for some reason I find them delicious! Good or bad?

I really want to work myself into this and want to succeed. I am tired of being fat and making excuses for myself. The human body is so amazing and beautiful and I only have one. It is time to really start taking care of it. Hope everyone's dieting is going well

You should kill those "sugar fits" instead of fueling them.

As we have seen it happening often at ADBB, many people are stalled by the Atkins bars. Besides, they are not "legal" for Induction as they contain ingredients that are not "legal" (peanuts, soy, etc.). Dr. Atkins wrote in Chapter 12:

They are "legal" during all phases of Atkins, but do them in moderation. Since they are very high in sodium, they may lead to water retention issues.

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
