| Well, first of all you'll lose slow because you don't have a lot to lose. In two weeks of Induction, one typically loses 5-10% of the weight he/she had to lose. You only said what you're having for breakfast and lunch. Aren't you eating dinner? It seems to me like you are not eating enough. You are also eating meats very high in sodium (sausage, bacon), which can cause water retention. Half and half is half milk. Milk is not allowed during Induction. Did you check the ingredients in the dressing? I see you are only eating lettuce for your veggies. Lettuce is not very nutritious. Besides, you should be getting over half of your net carbs from vegetables. Two cups of iceberg lettuce only have something like 2 net carbs. Are you tracking your foods in FitDay? Maybe you can make the journal public and share the link to it.

| Hi Georgiana- Well, this is what i've eaten today so far, but usually, for dinner, i'll have some sort of protein. So you think I should cut out bacon and sausage and stick with fattier meats then? And normally, I use heavy whipping cream, but had to go half and half today due to circumstance and availability. I know i'm not getting varied veggies, but I don't think that should play a factor in impeding weight loss, do you? I also take a daily multivitamin (w/o iron). I really want to make the most of the two weeks and seeing as I only have until next Wednesday, I want to make sure I am doing everything I can for optimal weight reduction. Thx!!! |

| Also, I am eating as much as it takes to make me not hungry. I am a petite person, so I don't eat as much food as maybe someone else may, so it seems like im not eating enough, but I feel satiated every day. Whenever I'm hungry, I eat. Do you recommend eating more, even though I'm full after all my meals? Sorry, this is just so frustrating. |

I forgot to say this last time, but did you check the ingredients in them? Sausages sometimes have fillers that are not 'legal' in Induction. The bacon could be cured with sugar. Quote:

And then relax and be patient. Weight loss will happen, but it will happen slower when you have little to lose. Exercise will help a lot. Did you take body measurements before you started Induction?

| Basically at your weight, pounds are not going to 'melt' away, no matter what you do... They are going to come off as slowly as possible, unfortunately |

| So do you think it's even worth me continuing? I feel like all the fat and protein i'm eating isn't going to do much in terms of weight loss. Perhaps, I should close out induction and just eat balanced meals instead? Fruits veggies, lean protein. |

| you should stick to the Atkins diet if anythings gonna help you lose that fat it will be the Atkins diet heres some tips to help first your food choices stop eating caffeine/coffee it can mess things up sometimes whiping cream still has some carbs i would cut it out in my opinion try your best to eat less salt and i would avoid jello try to aim for a diet that is 65-70% fat 25-30% protein 5% carbs use fitday to calculate your % make sure you drink lots of water once you start excersiseing start eating more food even if your not hungry and make sure atleast a little protein is in every meal and make sure you eat atleast 3 meals everyday make sure you always stay at or under 20 net carbs now for exercise you will need to go to a gym you dont have much weight to lose so you may gain muscle at the same rate as you lose fat but muscle looks alot better since you dont got much weight to lose as far as cardio gos 2 times a week for 15 mins is enough if you already are a active person but mostly you will want to work on sexy toneing your body tradeing in fat for muscle you will need to ask the people at the gym to help you on that doing work outs for your back, delts, chest, triceps, biceps, legs, abs etc etc work out your abs almost everyday sept on your leg work out days and on your leg work out days make sure you start out with thigh extensions and leg curls before doing squats thigh extensions and leg curls will make it so your knees dont get sore when doing squats and do your squats on the smith machine since its the most easy place to do them get one of the gym staff to help you or to do programs with Last edited by ziggy; May 5th, 2009 at 09:31 PM. Since you have little to lose, you should move to OWL after the first two weeks, so that you have time to progress through all the phases of the Diet before you reach goal and learn how to maintain your weight.
